Q: I’m 75. My precious metals position is 20%. I have own SWM for many years ( cost is about 9.00. I have about 10 % fixed income. I am comfortable holding but at my age maybe trim? What would be a limit for the metals. It seems, it is still under owned. Maybe. I don’t hear or see it.
My portfolio currently has a full position in XGD which has been brilliant. Looking forward, how do you view opportunities in base metals/copper and uranium versus gold?
As the commodity rally broadens I want to expand my positions beyond gold and am looking for ETF exposure. I see ZMT and XBM for Canadian listed base metals, and HURA for uranium. Are there any other ETFs that you focus on?
Thanks in advance and please remove credits as needed.
Q: Hi 5i,
Thanks for the great work. I'm a long-time FNV shareholder and WPM is continuing to outperform. How do you view the two companies today? Would you follow momentum and switch from FNV into WPM?
Q: A portion of my portfolio is invested in gold, and I have enjoyed the ride that more than tripled the price of gold since February 2024, when the European Commission officially approved regulations allowing the use of proceeds from frozen Russian assets to arm Ukraine and stated that these assets would remain frozen until Russia repays damages to Ukraine after the war.
Even though I am pessimistic that Trump’s efforts will bring an end to this war - there is too much financial interest in the U.S. and Europe to continue it for as long as possible - there is still a chance he will succeed, and I expect that the price of gold may come down significantly following peace.
As PHYS doesn’t have options, is buying GLD puts the best way to hedge gold prices? Any other suggestions?
Q: Considering a small investment in companies that make LiDAR sensors for the auto, robotics, mapping systems, industry. Could you comment on the ones attached, in terms of most likely to rapidly increase share price, in a two year horizon
Q: What percentage of a portfolio do you think should be non North American? Does that change if portfolio size is 500k, 2 mil, 5 mil?
Do you recommend fund or etf or individual stock, for someone with no knowledge and only buy stocks based on your recommendations? Which fund or etf?
Q: With precious metal prices at all time highs. Is now the time to look beyond the mining operations and to companies that support them. Was thinking about NOA and MATR.
What’s your thoughts about the two names or any suggestions you like in the sector.
Thank you.
Q: Looking at some of my big losers. I see that Upstart is reporting for the year Feb 10th. Should I wait for the results or cut my losses now? I see that the analysts are mixed on this one. What is your opinion on the stock?
Q: I bought Target at $58.58. I am up $1400. Is it now a sell or hold? I think it is going to take care of its problems in 2026 with a new CEO at the helm. It shut its stores in Australia ans Canada with KMART going in canada.
Q: What handful of small to mid cap companies do you see as having home run/Palantir type potential? I don’t care what exchange the companies are listed on. I’m willing to be patient and realize your picks are purely speculation.
Thanks
