Q: I need to increase my materials sector. I am a 73 year old value investor with a balanced, diversified 60 /40 portfolio with cash, laddered gic's and fixed ETF's. I am looking at either Nutrien, Methanex, or any other dividend payer that you may suggest as a good fit.
Thank you

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I see they have just reported good results and the stock has had a good run this year. So please give me your assessment. Is it too late to buy...take the money and run...or hold because there is potentially more upside?
Thanks...your professional opinion is always valuable.

Q: I have 300 shares of this stock which are now worthless. If I sell for a tax loss, do I give up my rights to any damages awarded from the class action lawsuit currently underway against the company.
In your experience what are the chances of a positive result for me from this type of lawsuit and will the per share amount of any award be worth waiting for. Thanks

Q: Hi, Could you please post street estimates for this quarter. Thanks
Q: In Maple Leaf's news release, they mention the Chinese import ban of Canadian pork affecting their bottom line. It sound's like they export pork to China. I hold PBH and would like to similarily understand the mechanics of how China's pork issue may affect PBH. Does PBH export pork products to China that would be subject to a ban? On the other hand, is it possible that lower North American pork prices could be positive to PBH as an input cost? Thanks.
Q: Please comments on GE's latest earnings, is this company in the right path to turnaround? Would you start a position on it today? Thanks!
Q: Hello, continuing with portfolio fine tuning to achieve better diversification as suggested by your service. Need to reduce Canada and increase international.
Technology, need to reduce , hold csu, engh, and kxs and otex. would you reduce engh or eliminate kxs or otex?
Industrials, need to reduce, currently hold cae and tih equally, which would you keep?
As far as global, would you be ok with 7% in xef with another 3% in icln?
All are within an rsp with goal being growth/dividend. Thanks

Q: Hi there,
I agree with your previous poster commenting on the ability to journal Cdn companies to the US side of your portfolio. I deal with 2 differnet bank/brokerage and both let me do it without hassle however, you can get the wrong information from a call centre person. If you don't like the answer, ask to speak to a supervisor.
Or move your money to one that will - these days they are all sensitive to losing balances!
Post if you see appropriate

Q: In a 100% equity portfolio would 75% CRBN and 25% ZLB be considered "diversified enough"? I'm trying to remove oil and gas as much as possible while still having reasonable fees.

Q: Hi,
Jeff Tonkin, CEO of Birchcliff Energy (BIR-T)was on BNN-Commodities show this morning and discussed a recent change with TC Energy for buyers of Canadian Nat Gas to now be able to put their gas into storage year round as they are not required to have fixed and interruptible transportation. He said this puts a floor on the natural gas pricing. Do you agree and do you see this as significantly contributing to BIR-T and other nat gas producers bottom line and ultimately increasing their share prices? Thanks

Q: Not sure if anyone has already asked but my question is should I tender my shares for Blackstones planned acquisition of subject. Obviously Blackstone must feel they can do good things with it and the premium offered is not overly generous.
