Q: Thanks for your reply to my Knight Therapeutics question. Can you be more specific about
two parts:
1) Do small shareholders in GBT have to sell?
2) The stock price is surprisingly weak - do you think medisen is selling now to fund their share re-purchase or can you speculate any reason why selling is going on now after waiting so long for a big, non-dilutive cash purchase? It is a big surprise to me.

I keep hearing rumblings that management want the the 2 class structure of these Power companies eliminated, but the Demaries won't give it up.
Do you have an opinion on whether this power struggle is going to hold back the Company in the future, like what is happening to Bombardier and should I be divesting out of these holdings (PWF, GWO, etc)?

Q: As a retired investor, I am keen on stocks with low betas, high dividends and some growth. AQN, NPI and BEP all meet these criteria and are all up significantly, riding on a crest of green sentiment. These three stocks now compromise 13.5% of my total portfolio. I am loathe to part with my green energy stocks as they are doing so well. That said, have I put too many eggs in one basket? At what percent should I cap my green energy investment? Other than higher interest rates, what could impact continued growth in this sector?

On a related note, I am now overweight in utilities, which now represent 21% of my total portfolio. This includes the three above-mentioned stocks, plus Fortis and BEP. Would you suggest reducing this weighting? And if so, which stock(s )would you be inclined to sell?

We have a 2.5% position in CN, and are a bit underweight in the industrial sector. Would the ongoing rail line blockade and slight decline in share price represents a buying opportunity? Or would a new investment into WSP, for example, be a better strategy? (Our other industrials are CAE, SIS, and TFII). Thanks in advance for your valued advice.

As a dividend growth investor, what is your opinion on the ETFs issued by a company called Bristol Gate? I am referring to BGU-T and BGC-T. Are you familiar with the success rate of the management at this company?

Q: I haven't seen too many company purchases similar to GUD buying GBT. Is it unusual to take out the major shareholders then individuals and will small shareholders be forced to sell?
The purchase was paid in cash with no dilution, Medisen is paying $77M for their shares, GUD will have well over $300M left plus any Biotoscana profits from Nov. 29 and, yet the share price is very weak. Is something not going well?
Finally, Medisen has 4 years to sell their GUD shares. Do you think they are selling now to raise cash to buy back their shares and, second, is a low price good for GUD as biotoscan shareholders will most likely sell at the ptemium offered? Thank you!

Everything else being equal, is this a time to think about reducing weightings in something like an SP500 or other broad market ETF and perhaps move to something more defensive?

Do you gave any details regarding the nature of the whistleblower's allegation? The issue was revealed by the compamy this morning in a press released. They postponed earnings annoucement because of it.

Q: Here is a simple question for you. When determining an amount that a particular equity has for the percentage of my portfolio, do I use the total value of my portfolio including the fixed income part, or just the equity part? For example, if the total portfolio is $100,000 including fixed income and I have a 60/40 split of equity /fixed, is a 5% position $5,000 or $3,000?
