Q: I want some information on Liquid Alternative funds. I believe they would add diversification to my portfolio of stocks and bonds. I would consider 10% weighing as they are more risky. What mutual funds or ETFs would be suitable to invest in this category for a DIY investor (through a discount broker ) ? I would be looking for consistent performance and good track record.
Q: Hi 5i Team!
Based on your opinion back in Feb 2020, I have included growth names like KXS, REAL, DOO, QST, GSY and LSPD in my TFSA. Although these stocks were added prior Pandemic, all of them recovered except QST and I made over 5-7% already. Thanks for your valuable advise.
While in RRSP, I have ACB, CAE and LNR at 5% position, ENB at 20% position and CNQ over 60% position. I am down ~35% on average on these stocks. Is the correct thing to do is sell and balance out my RRSP portfolio or should I be waiting for recovery period for these down stocks. I would appreciate your counsel on this. I have ~25K room left on RRSP. Can you give me 5 names that you feel are good to have for next 3-5 years in. What companies would you suggest are the best positioned to take advantage of projected growth both US and Canadian.
Thanks for your help!

Q: If you had to put a fair price or range on LSPD today what would it be.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Is BAM.A eligible for the dividend tax credit? I looked online and had a hard time deciphering everything. Which account is the best place for it?
Thanks,

Q: Can you provide an update on je.db.d please?I own je.db.d. If all the proposals go through what will I own at the end of the of the day?
Q: What do you think of veevas latest earnings.
Q: Some questions about REAL recently. If I have this straight, REAL is in the business of mortgage lending, re-finance and appraisals. All necessary components for any real estate transaction. Considering the robust real estate market that has only become more busy in 2020 and not less, why the downward pressure on REAL? Simply profit taking?
It seems to me that they are well positioned to have a blow-out year and we should al be buying.
I have a 1% position in REAL and am considering doubling it for a 2-5 year hold with high short term (6-12 month) expectations. Reasons to not do this include?

Q: What is happening to REAL ? It has dropped quite a bit this week. I can not find any news regarding this.
Q: With road construction underway to their Springpole property and more funds raised recently, would you be more optimistic about FF over the next few years?
Q: Any news on the massive drop today with QDEL?
Q: Any reason you can see for the huge drop today? Thanks
Q: Hi 5iR, Please give me all you can on PINK. The stock appears to be taking off into orbit.......any reason why? Their imaging technology seems to have incredible potential but why is the stock suddenly moving up over the past month? Is there a deal, an investor, a takeover.....?? I'd appreciate whatever you can dig up, preferably with a backhoe than a shovel.
Thanks team.
Cheers, Chris

Q: Thoughts please on the quarter? Thx
Q: Several months ago, you had a list of about ten companies (including CSU, X, KXS, CAE, BYD, ENB, ADW) that you felt had a unique opportunity to flourish under these special circumstances.
Asking the same question today, what would your updated list look like?

Q: Could you provide an update on your thoughts on DIV? Your comments in May/June seemed a little negative/conservative and the price hasn't really moved since the drop in March.
Thanks for your help

Q: Hi 5i
Li auto had a surprising 28 % jump in share price yesterday Aug 26. Any reason you are aware of to explain this? Would you continue to hold or add to an existing position at this point and why?

Q: Results were released Wednesday after close with conference call set for 830 Thursday. Can you provide comments and outlook.
Q: Given the recent corporate actions, I now own BEPC (100 shares) in addition to the BEP.UN shares (400 shares) I have owned previously. Going forward, which is the better investment to add to in my Canadian non-registered taxable account, BEP.UN or BEPC? Can you provide a brief rationale for your choice? Does it make sense to sell off the less attractive stock and add those proceeds to the more attractive position, or just carry both of them? Thanks.
