Q: Yesterday you answered a question about the quarterly results of NWC quoting EPS at 42 cents and expected EPS of 48 cents. My data feed from Waterhouse quotes expected EPS of 47 cents and actually EPS at 45 cents. Do have suggestions as to what is adjusted in these numbers or is it a random adjustment unique to each report? Thanks

Q: Hi 5i,
I'm an investor of Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure, do you have a report you published on this company that I can review? If not, I have accumulated some shares in this company and I would like to know if this company is on a solid footing?
Thanks, Barry

Q: I am intrigued by the new BMO ZEUS etf.
The design seems interesting to me, but fees are higher.
Would this make sense in an era of increasing economic growth and high stock valuations, to look for value and adding a touch of momentum?

Q: Hi,
I would like to acquire a good cover in US financials. I am looking in particular at iai (iShares U.S. Broker-Dealers & Securities Exchanges ETF), zub (BMO Equal Weight US Banks Hedged to CAD Index ETF), zbk (BMO Equal Weight US Banks Index ETF). Can you explain the difference between zbu and zbk and what would you suggest for a good coverage of US financials with a solid growth prospect ?
Thanks in advance for your valuable assistance,
Jacques

Q: Hi 5I, I like the above MFs but dislike their MER and Mgmt. charges, can you suggest equivalent ETFs with similar or alike holdings.
Also, can I buy Maw102 in my RBC Direct (discount broker)? account?

Q: What is your evaluation of this company moving forward.
Q: When do you expect TOY will report the holiday season results? An answer to a question on Nov 22 suggested that TOY not be purchased until that occurs. Your portfolio sold 1/2 of TOY in November and I am wondering what do to with mine?
Q: Asked by Peter, Dec.13 about Badger: "Just a comment to Q today.Bad was a TP of Takacsy on MC on Dec 11"
It would be appreciated if abbreviations are not used. For example, I am a member since inception and an investor for over 10 years - I have no idea (after consideration) what TP, Takacsy, and MC mean.
It only takes an extra few seconds!
Thanks.
Peter

Q: Is there any reason to hold onto PUR beyond the ex-dividend date tomorrow? Is it simply a decision between a low risk small gain per share by waiting versus redeploying the capital elsewhere?
Q: Just a comment to Q today.Bad was a TP of Takacsy on MC on Dec 11
Q: Will we get your mid month report prior to Peter's appearance on MC on Dec 15.Looking forward

Q: Hi 5i.
Great job on the new website!
My question is whats waking up SRU.UN today?
Should I keep holding for income or should I sell?
Could you also suggest 3 best buys from your income portfolio at this time?
I look forward to your answer.

Q: Hi All at 5i!! Considering that everyone is suspecting that bitcoin is a bubble, is there anyway of investing in its demise? Cheers, Tamara
Q: I guess I'll hold on until the dividend date. But PUR was one of my largest positions even before the takeover offer. As such it is now about 10% of my portfolio. My question is how long do you think the takeover will take and in my position, would you just err on the side of safety and take the considerable money and run. Also, although I have held PUR for a long time, your continued endorsement of the company made it easier to continue to hold through the recent drop and I thank-you for that.
Q: Could you give me an updated opinion on CODI ? I notice Seeking Alpha is a bit excited by the acquisition of 5.11 Tactical which I know nothing about. Also I notice in your last comment in 2016 you mention the dividend has different tax treatment. Would this be the case inside a RRIF ?
Q: Congrats for you terrific job!
I am often wondering when you recommend certain etf over some great money manager (like phn, egdepoint or mawer) for just half a point of management fees and on the other hand, you recommend full active management with your own model portfolio.
I think with all the money flowing into indexing and closet-indexer and quants, we are gonna see some benefits in years ahead for truly and talented active managers.
With respect, your model porfolio have proven their ability to beat the index as some greats money manager (as mentionned above).
Comments please
