Q: A brief follow up re your response to my question regarding American tariffs.
Could you pleases clarify what you meant when you stated that
"Inflation is no one's concern,"
I thought that the higher the rate of inflation the greater potential for rates to rise which ultimately affect the markets. So I think that inflation is a concern to the Fed.

Q: What are your 5 best picks for dividend growth stocks with an appropriate valuation?

Q: Is there a specific reason for this stock to be falling the way it has recently ,other than today? Should I sell or hold?

I am running with about a 22% weight in industrials but have CCL and richards Packaging classified there. I always struggle where to classify these two - more suited to materials or do you have an alternate classification. i am extremely underweight in Consumer Discretionary. Q: I have a general concern that I would appreciate your assessment regarding both the US and world economies. We have a US stock market that has been rising consistently for some time now. Bond yields are on the rise with increasing concerns about inflation. Now there is a threat of a major trade war as Trump considers placing significant tariffs on Chinese imports. This has been tried in the past (ie 1930) with dire consequences. Sure, US imports of tariffed goods decreased but so did exports as other companies struck back with their own tariffs. And if China, for example, sells less goods to the USA it will buy less raw materials from other countries affecting their economies.. So the risk is a major slow down in world economies. I would expect prices for many products in the US to rise substantially, due to Trump's insular view of how things work with increased pressure on inflation and bond rates. My concern is that all of this could result in a major recession next year. How do you view this situation? I would appreciate your thoughts and analysis. Thanks.

Does the quote from the latest press release, listed below, indicate that the worse is over for AGT?

We believe that the challenges of the past quarters will begin to ease as the effects of governmental interventions and market corrections subside and markets find their new balance as a new crop season begins, with India’s current harvest and the upcoming Turkish harvest in May 2018. While AGT cannot control the timing of a market recovery, we expect a gradual recovery, with respect to volumes and prices and with them margins and earnings, to continue over the coming periods through 2018 with North American harvest and into 2019

Q: I hold these two Sentry funds , down 30%. bought them when gold was $1300 . when gold goes down they go down. when gold goes up they do not come for the ride . any thoughts for the future. thx. Jack

Q: No question here, but my comment on FFH. I owned FFH In the 80’s. I recall the stock trading at 600.00. Please correct me if I am wrong. It is now 600.00 plus. How Prem Watsa can be compared to Buffet is like my golf game being compared to Tiger Woods. Watsa makes big bets against the market which on balance I would think have been horrible , to be stand corrected.
What am I missing??

Q: Just fyi. For what it's worth, this morning Scotia Capital maintained their Sector Outperform rating, raised their target from $78 to $80, and said investors should buy on this dip. Apparently the market disagrees as the stock is currently down another dollar today.
