Q: As a CMMC shareholder I am interested in your comments on the takeover by HBM. I am down on CMMC but it was my only copper investment and I was holding for a copper recovery. Do you think it best to stick with HBM or sell and buy another copper stock such as Capstone?
Q: Hi 5i
With significant pullback in copper stocks, how would you rank these for best rebound potential? Any others? Would you be willing to start buying now or wait?
Thanks again.
Q: Hi, I currently have shares in HBM but I am considering selling and replacing with something else and wonder your thoughts on that. I am considering LUN or LAC or a bit for both. This is new to me so open to suggestions. Thanks for this service
Q: Hello Peter and Team
Is it still time to invest in basic material.
I would like to increase my exposure to a reasonable level.
Between CMMC, HBM, LUN or Teck.B what will be your choice, could you rank them for a year exposure.
Thank You
Raouf
Q: Hi! I own TECK.B and KL as part of my materials exposure. Small positions about 3% total of my portfolio. Looking to increase to about 10% of my portfolio. Given what I currently own, I am thinking of adding Nutrien for some ag exposure and then one of LUN, FM or HBM. Do you agree with this approach? Do you think 10% materials exposure is too high or too low given current economic expansion and inflation environments?
Q: Hudbay of late seems to be underperforming despite the increase in copper copper mountain is outperforming opposite to hudbay ? is there any particular reason would you swap hudbay in favour of copper mountain?
Q: What's your outlook for this company. The average price for 11 analyst's is $11.49 on TD web broker over the next year. The price today is $7.83.
I have a small amount invested and wondering if this is the right time to add more? Thanks
Q: I am interested in copper- is there still upside do you think, or has it had its' run? is the etf COPX a good way to play this, or is teck or hudbay maybe a better alternative? Thank you!
Q: I'd like to invest in the materials sector (mining) ex gold and silver. Which companies would you suggest. I have addressed a few, possibly you have other recommendations. Thank you.
Q: Yours thoughts on HBM. It is up nicely recently and I have been looking for an exit point. Should I get out now, or is there some longer term potential?
Thanks
Gord
Q: I own some FM and looking to add to this sector. What are your thoughts on the sector and these 3 companies. Which one would you put the additional funds into and why?
Q: I am a "buy and hold" long term investor. I have held these stocks for over five years on the assumption that at least one of the pipelines would be built and the stocks would regain at least some of their losses. Of course that hasn't happened. With the Covid-19 situation I am concerned about a serious downturn in the economy during the next 18 months. As these stocks are already extrememly low, I am wondering if they will survive, let alone improve, during the next year or so. Based on income, debt levels, and future prospects, please rank each company according the possibility of failure.
Q: recently both copper and natural gas have broken out how would you play these sectors or would you advise to stay away ithese two compamies are picking up momentumm whats your opinion
Q: Looking at taking advantage of the recent sell-off in base metal miners to initiate a position in one of them. Which of the above would you prefer, or do you have another Canadian listed suggestion?
Thanks
