Q: WEED and HBM are significantly down. What do you have to say? Buy, sell, hold or stay away? I have good deal of investment on both, I can invest more to average if worth.

Hudbay Minerals Inc. (HBM $35.79)
Q: Currently have no materials stocks. In the recent past I have owned cco, teck.b and hbm but as short term holds on weakness/momentum. Looking to add a longterm hold in materials but I am having trouble falling in love with SJ mainly due to the past 12 month stock, relatively low div of 1% and the general high for the sector PE of 18. CCL isn't a classic "materials" stock although I like the look of the price movement.
Can you make your case for me to jump on the SJ and CCL 5i bandwagon and/or suggest a few other options.
Working on matching the balanced equity portfolio.

-
Capstone Copper Corp. (CS $16.56)
Q: I have no metals or minerals in my portfolio. I seem to be getting a late start on this sector but I was deterred by negative EPS in most of these companies. If you could suggest one company to start, what would you suggest. I am a balanced investor and have been looking at LIF because of its dividend and HBM and CS for growth and concentration in copper.
Q: Thoughts for on HBM for longer term hold (5+ yrs)? Is debt a concern here? What is the FCF and FPE?
Q: I own shares in hbm should I hold or sell
Q: Would it be best to buy both of these stocks or you still prefer to just own CS? Do you think this sector still in play or has the money been made and better to move money in another sector? How high of a risk rating would you give these 2 stocks?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I appreciate you view on the Hudbay minerals announced offer to buy any or all of its outstanding US$920 million aggregate principal amount of 9.500% senior notes due 2020. I own some of these bonds and I feel their offer is not attractive enough to redeem. What is the risk of not tendering? Do you think HDB can survive to pay those bonds?I don't mind holding the bonds until maturity, unless you think that HBM will not survive until then?If I tender what would would be reasonable replacement.

Q: I want to have some exposure to mining and I wander if it is a good time to buy LUN or HBM? Which one would you consider, if any? Do you have other recommendation? What do you think about the sector at this moment? Thanks
Q: I'm looking at some zinc exposure. Of the two companies ( LUN, HBM) which would you choose? Or do you have a better suggestion. HBM is having quite a run today. Thank you
Q: Been thinking of adding some Hudbay at close to 52 week lows, Nov 5 you said " not yet". Would you still wait?
Q: just wondering what your current view of Hudbay is and whether you would enter into the stock at current levels? thanks as usual.
Q: Hi 5i,
HBM like so many other stocks has had a correction to the downside. it appears overdone. can you look at HBM again as they have had an on site visit this past Sept 08 th.it seems like their expansion is happening right at a perfect time, especially with the Zinc.do you think management is competent enough to see these projects to the end, on time , on budget etc. etc. what don't you like about HBM.
with regards to the markets in general do you think we are still going through a normal business cycle ?
if yes then base metals have yet to have their day ? ? thanx Norm

Q: what is your opinion of HBM & LUN now ? thanks for the great service . JIM
Q: I have held Hudbay Mining (HBM) for a long time - thought there was value in their reserves. Hold or sell??
Q: H 5i, my question is regarding HBM. i have noticed that more investors have been asking about zinc lately. one inquiry you had wanted to know if a good zinc producer existed. you went on to recommend TV. i very much believe that zinc will be a great story this year and for the next few years. so as a hobby investor i researched the best i could for good zinc stocks and as you know they are very few and far between. it seems that TV would be a good place to be but i found that HBM might be as good .it appears that they have some serious zinc production soon to be developed. can i have your thoughts on HBM ? pros and cons, can management deliver ? my thinking is TV will most likely be bought out before the zinc story unfolds whereas HBM has less probability of being taken out. thanx norm
Q: Hi Peter and Team:
Could you please comment on Hudbay's (HBM) results/comments in their 2nd quarter report. With the reduction in dividend and other issues,do you expect the share price to be pretty stagnant for the foreseeable future & therefore wise to sell and move the money into something else ?
Thank you again for this great service.
