Many thanks for your great service. Despite a full position in GUD I have an order in for more at $8 if it gets back there and bounces. To each his own but I like the idea of a cash-like holding that has a healthy upside potential with a big cash footing; especially one that isn't wasteful and one you support. Do any other companies have similar situations ? Paul

Q: What are the earnings estimates for this upcoming quarter. Does ccl.b have a track record for beating the estimates? Good time to take a half position before or after earnings

I have not given up on CLS either. I have been following the company for some time and waiting for a good entry point. For several reasons its momentum is down and technically it is breaking down. I guess it looks like a falling knife...I notice it's TP has been lowered to $12.50. I know you do not give predictions on price. So I am wondering what your thoughts are about it's direction and momentum. I know investors over react in both directions. Do you think it is looking over sold? Do you think this $12.50 might put in a floor? Better to wait a week or two until the dust settles? Would buying now be classified as a small contrarian play on a value stock?

the financing gives them cash for new machines but what does the balance sheet look like?

Q: I'd like to know what you think of MRG's Q3 report that came out today. I would especially appreciate your assessment of (1) potential growth and (2) your calculation of Payout Ratio using AFFO (not FFO, as they do, which tells me nothing without knowing the maintenance expenses). I must admit I get very suspicious of reits that only provide FFO and not AFFO.

Do you think that qualcomm has hit the bottom of the litigation barrel and might prove a good turnaround candidate? How would you evaluate the threat of losing Apple?

Q: I have been reading all the comments on GUD today and it reminds me of another company I invested in years ago with tons of cash waiting to make a good deal, DIV. I believe with solid management investors will be rewarded just like in DIV's case.

Q: Never fall in love with a stock, this means me and also 5i, since Jan./15 to now this stock has returned app. 10%, if you just bought ZUH, a health care etf, you had a 25% return. I don't what is expected of this stock,if it ever makes a purchase with it's cash, but does someone expect it to just rocket it value. Why not take 5i's advice, most of the time,. and invest in stocks on the rise, than hope that something changes. Too many good stocks out there to own, than this one. Don't try to be smarter than the market. Just my opinion.

Q: Please comment on the earnings and forward guidance.Markets seem to like results.

Q: What is your opinion on LYG? Also for the dividend would it have the 15% withholding on it in regular cash account and TFSA? Would it be best to hold this very long term in RRSP to collect entire dividend and hopefully some growth like BAC in the coming years.? Thanks

Q: Just a comment on the answer you gave to the question posed by Kolbi on Llloyds bank. Unless the rules have changed very recently I believe the UK has no witholding tax on dividends paid to foreign residents. UK residents have a $10K dividend tax free allowance (reducing to $4K next year) after which they are taxed 7.5%. Don't feel to sorry for them though, their TFSA is $40K a year!

Q: in your previous answer to me you said you cannot fault knight for not doing a deal.
my question is can you fault them for raising money over a year ago at about 10 dollars, diluting the stock and then doing nothing with the money, this to me is ripping off shareholders, totally unacceptable. i think we all being taken to the cleaners.dave

Q: I am trying to break my need to hold on to my losers. I have held KPT for 4 years with nothing to show other than the dividend. I like the dividends but I don't have need of them at this time and I want something with some growth too. Should I give it up? If so any suggestions for a replacement?

Q: so knight is turning out be the ultimate dog, everyone including me and 5i is holding knght on the assumption that sooner than later he does a huge deal.
m question is why should we hold it,there are so many great stocks i could buy wth my 12000 shares reduced from 30000 over the last 6 months.
and it is not like he is going to do an amaya deal issuing stock at double its price the day a deal is announced, so i pay 2 dollars more to buy knight when a deals announced,but that could be in years.i feel i am being suckered.
a great money manager that you know said to me about knight, lightning never strikes the same place twice. dave

Q: I wish to add one more financial to my portfolio. I already have BMO,BNS,TD. I am considering the above companies. Which one would you recommend or do you think it would be better to just add to the ones I already have? Is there another that you would recommend that I should consider?
