Q: Hi 5i
Today while market was busy crashing, CGX was heading higher in heavy trading. Do you have any idea what is going on? major news ?
I have been trying to start position at 7.75 and wondering if that price has slipped away...or just wait....my hold time frame is 1-2 years... in your opinion Increased risk given current market conditions?
Currently looking for additional US stock exposure and I am considering either FLGT or PERI as potential candidates. Sector allocation is not a factor.
Between these two companies which, in your opinion, has the best runway for growth over the next 5+years?
I currently have IWO as a core holding. I would like to change to a more concentrated ETF holding either in small or mid cap US. With so many different factors to choose from such as large/medium/small cap, dividend/value/growth/blend, current valuations, etc... and looking at past returns over various time periods, how does one choose the best ETF to invest in going forward now? I would consider all these ETF's to be high quality and obviously no one knows what the range of future returns will be. With small/mid cap underperforming lately vs large cap, would you place your bets on that spread closing over time? I'm comfortable with volatility and have a long term time horizon (+15yrs). How would you rank these going forward for best risk adjusted returns?
Q: Only 2 questions on ARR in archives and both old. Can you give a quick review on how investible this small renewables royalty company is after 2 years of operation? What alternatives would you suggest if you feel there are better opportunities (either other renewable royalty companies or individual companies such as BEPC)? Thanks for all you do, John
Q: I know this is a small cap but I took a shot and now regret it. Do you see any signs of hope for this one? They recently spun off a part of the company. Is there any enhanced value in the move or is it price neutral?
Q: May we please have your updated analysis on this company's future prospects in terms of runway for growth. Any concerns about the balance sheet? Would you continue to hold? Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i
What to do with this one?...Stock is now at 0.45 .....
I have read your previous answers regarding this question , that it is better to simply move on... is this advice still valid? Will it have to undergo a reverse split to stay listed?
On the same note, TD Web broker indicates this stock is followed by 6 analysts ....all rate it as a buy with avg PT of around $3.40..... How is this possible and could you please comment on how these targets could actually be justified from an analysts perspective....any speculation on how they arrive at these numbers? I find the ratings quite puzzling.
Q: I have owned this company for yield for over a decade but with the share price breaking through the $10 mark on the downside I am considering an exit. May I have your views?
As per your write up in the Q&A's you were not impressed with DND's latest report.
The market was not impressed with DND's latest report (down appr. 30%)
Why ten would a 5 star analyst with CIBC, Sephanie Price with a 59% success rate ever rank DND a strong buy over the next year with her raising the target from $25 to $28?
You may not/ probably not know her but what do you think she knows that the rest of us don't? Just asking as she is such a well reputed analyst.
Q: What is the reason for the sharp drop in price,on above average volume?I can not find any recent news which might explain this but it seems someone knows something as indicated by the volume.
What are your thoughts on this company now...Buy/Hold/Sell?
Q: Peter and His Dream Team
In our new world of "Climate Change, Fossil Fuels and Nuclear" does this company have any relevancy? I bought it years ago thinking it had a future. Now I wonder if it is heading for a reverse-split or event Chapter 11...Your assessment and comments please. They are always valuable! Thank you!
Q: Hi 5i,
I hold a full PLC position in my TFSA for awhile. In your opinion is it a compelling buy today for a 1% position in a NonReg account? If not, what price would offer a good risk return scenario for a buy and hold investor or do you think there might be further downside due to tax loss selling later this year?
