Q: Hello, SIS announced a couple of days ago it is increasing the dividend by 17% and provided its update on 2018 and 2019 guidance. The market welcomed the announcement with an upswing of 5%. But today again, it is down by 3%. The volatility is not matching with the market movement. Yes , the shares are up compared to a year ago. But still the movement of the stock is becoming un predictable to large extent. Is there any other news that I have missed on this counter. Thanks for your advice always.

Q: I have unfortunately bought at the high of 2015 and am even money on this one after 3 years. They appear to be doing all the right things but market's reaction isn't there.

Do you feel there will be a market catalyst on this one or would the money be better served elsewhere?

Q: As per Seeking Alpha, Dell supposly is ending its contract w/Celestica. The change will reportedly impact 300 employees. If confirmed, do you see that has major or business as usual? How many employess do they have worldwide?

Q: Following up on Marios' question from Sep 19 which was:

"PHO is selling pretty hard on higher volume today and on a down trajectory since august. Lost 23 %.
What gives?",
I have the same question except a day later on Sep 20 it still gets pummeled but at yet much higher volume at 1.3 million volume vs a 50-day avg volume of 0.255 million. That stock has really taken a dive on "no news". Given no news, could you please educate me on possible explanations for this price movement with such relative hefty volume? Anything possibly nefarious here? Or is this just normal territory for a $2 stock (even though it's a "good" company). Thank you. I really appreciate your insights.

Q: I have lost a bundle with these 3 recommendations above. Unfortunately they are in a TFSA so I get no tax breaks selling them. What would you do if you were in my position? Thanks Dennis

Q: Recently I have noticed a high level of insider buying at ECN. Is that the case based on your data? This looks to me like a strong sign from management. I am currently at break even so thinking of adding some more.

Q: Read your recent report on TFII and like it - seems to be a well run company and a good entry point for clients - would no NAFTA deal hurt it a lot or have little effect on the business - and do you feel it is a good buy right now - thanks

Q: How do you see this acquisition by COV. A purchase price of $16.1M CAN for a company which gave you $11.1 CAN seems great but would I be correct that their bottom line margins are much lower then what COV's regular business gives.
Revenue of $11.1M CAN with earnings of $.684 M is much lower than revenue of
$20 M and earnings of $2.2 M (for the first 3 quarters of 2018) on a percentage basis.

Q: You have mentioned that you dislike companies that tend to put out too many press releases. I own Reliq Health Technologies and am often surprised at what they consider worth communicating. The other day the press release headline was "Reliq Health Technologies receives second hardware shipment". Today they put out " Reliq Health Technologies Kick Off Patient Onboarding at Rio Grande Valley Health Alliance in Texas". I'm not sure that these qualify as huge milestones that the public and shareholders really need to know and they seem to be self-promotional. Would you consider RHT as a company that does too much self-promoting and does it cause you any concern?

Q: I have never liked the "bought deal" type financings that seem to be the way things are done in Canada, but I have to admit that as a holder of DOO watching the steep sell-off after the recent secondary offering priced in US$ was no fun. TD was offering the shares to clients with the price "TBD within the context of the market". The shares dropped about 15% in the days following the announcement when the issue was priced. Can you briefly explain how the pricing is determined for offerings such as this one. Do they simply wait for the market reaction and then set the price where the shares end up on the pricing date? What are the sellers and buyers obligations? Can the sellers just change their mind if the market reacts too harshly and say "thanks but no thanks, we will keep our holdings rather than sell at a 15% discount?

Q: I was going to sell my position (loss) in TSGI for the tax benefit but with the drop in Dollarama I now am considering selling that instead (also loss). Intention is to buy back the position after 30 days (or more).

Am leaning more to selling DOL but which would you let go?

Chrystal ball gazing time again. I am thinking of selling transcontinental for a tax loss. I just bought it seems strange to be selling it. I have a feeling that it won't move much until the next quarterly report, if at all. would you agree that it is relativly safe to sell and buy bak at a similat price in 30 days? i would wait a bit, though, to see if it bounces up a bit in the next week or two, as it has been heavily sold and could be in for at least a little bounce.

Q: About 2 million shares sold mostly slightly below the $47 ask price the first day. Is this positive or negative as far as knowing if the sale is going well. I'm concerned about further downward pressure on the share price.
