Q: Hi 5i,
In January, evidently like a number of others, I thought QST's prospects looked promising and bought in. Now I'm down considerably. CFRA rates it as a STRONG SELL and I haven't seen a more optimistic opinion anywhere.
Are QST's prospects really, suddenly, so bad that it should be sold ASAP to prevent even greater loss going forward (although selling would mean somebody is buying at this price, thinking to make money) or would you recommend waiting through at least the next earnings report, or two? I don't need to sell, but I've held on to some sinkers in the past waiting for the turnaround that never came and I'd prefer to cut my losses and avoid going through that exhausting exercise again here if the odds are that QST will remain a sinkhole..
Thanks for your thoughts!

Q: I took an amateur stab at a discounted cash flow analysis of PHO
to help me decide if I should vote Yes or No to approve the upcoming friendly takeover vote. In the end, I had to make a lot of assumptions about growth rates, cash flow projections and valuation of comparables. I came up with an intrinsic value share price ranging from 3.64 - 5.93 depending. But because of all the variables, plus my non-expertise, I do not trust my own analysis. Also there may be better ways to value the company than DCF analysis. What's your best guess as to this company's value or range of values? What method and assumptions would you use?

Would you continue to hold for 2yr -3 yr period ? Road bumps ahead?
Thx

Q: Prior to the spinoff of TOI Constellation had a market cap of $37B, roughly where it sits today. With all its distributed and undistributed shares TOI seems to be a $10B market cap leading me to think this maneuver was a huge win for everyone involved - shareholders of CSU before the spinoff, like me who got a free dividend, CSU itself which created a valuable separate asset and the other group of present TOI shareholders other than the public group. Or are there factors to this I'm not considering and who exactly are the group of minority shareholders holding TOI shares who are not in the public float and what do we know about them?

Q: Photon Control Notice of Meeting and Management Information Circular was received the other day. Proxy due date is June 25, 2021. Reading the Information Circular, Mawer Investment Management owns 10.5% of the 105M shares outstanding and Photon’s Board of Directors owns 9.4% of the shares outstanding. As you wrote in one of your answers, there are not many large shareholders to fight for a higher bid. From your stock market experience, would the possibility of a higher bid from another company occur before June 25 or after the proxy vote?
