Q: What's up with HIVE? It is getting pummeled pretty hard even though BIT coin is still over 90 grand. Between Hive's holdings of BIT and over cash what per centage of the market capital is covered. Seems like HIVE is oversold. Agree?

Q: I have just become a member and am attempting to assess which investment research company would be most suited to my needs. What would be your opinion of WNDR (Wonderfi Technologies) and how do you determine a good entry point on small cap companies. I have noticed the companies you recommend have had a good run for some time. Would this be an appropriate time to enter. If so, what would be your reasoning? It seems to me the entry point would be high on some of your suggestions.

Q: Hi 5i,
I have to sell something in my RRIF to raise cash for my annual payment out, and can't decide between selling a portion of GSY or a portion of PRL or a combination of the two.
They're currently of roughly equal value in my RRIF, but only because PRL has gained far more than GSY since each was bought (PRL- 125% to GSY - 24%).
I'm not too concerned about losing the dividends either of them pay, and want to keep the one most likely to produce the most capital appreciation over the next year or two. And I'm not adverse to selling some of each to raise the required cash if that 'diversification' seems wise in the circumstances.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Peter

Q: SHOP has reacted quite harshly downwards to the Fed's expected reduction in 2025 rate cuts. SHOP has been hit much harder than most others. Can you comment on the Fed action and what impact it might have on SHOP? Can you detail why the FED expectation has spooked SHOP? Does it change the narrative and 5i's view on the company as among the top picks for growth?

Q: I have approximately $70k cash in my TFSA account that I would like to invest before the end of the year. I currently have the above stocks in my TFSA. My investments in Lightspeed and Unity have taken a big hit (70 to 80% loss) since purchasing these stocks. I understand that I cannot claim losses on investments in my TFSA account. Would you suggest selling off my investments in Lightspeed and Unity and reinvesting these funds? As noted above, I have cash in my TFSA to be invested. Please rank my current TFSA holdings for additional investment considering a 5 to 10 year hold. Thank you for your expertise and best wishes for the Holiday Season.

Q: Two part question:
You are often asked to suggest 5 companies for a TFSA or for growth and are consistent in suggesting names like CLBT, TVK and NBIS. My question today would be for you to introduce five high growth companies that you are watching but not recommending from the US market. Can you please list companies that excite you but have not yet been mentioned here?
As part two, can you state what you like about each company AND what you are watching for before actively recommending? Take 2 or 3 credits or whatever is needed to provide a comprehensive answer please.

Q: Hi there, I’m curious to know what you look for in a true compounder. What are the key metrics that catch your eye when analyzing a company and how they make use of their cash.
Q: Can you explain the financial position, valuation metrics and growth prospects of this gambling company?
I'm considering a small position after reading an article in The Economist about the massive growth of gambling in America
(https://www.economist.com/leaders/2024/12/05/americas-gambling-boom-should-be-celebrated-not-feared)
Is now a good time to buy the stock or would you wait for a pullback?

Q: Can I have your thoughts on TVK's recently announced earnings. The stock at this point is down close to 10%. Were the earnings that bad or is this a buying opportunity? your overall assessment of the company would be appreciated. Thank You.
Q: Hi there. I was intrigued by the reply to a recent question which led to you providing a list of these six companies:
US: RSSS, BUKS, MCEM
Canada: HME, NCI, KUT
Can you please pick your 3 favourite regardless of country and provide a summary of why you think they hold potential as well as how each rank BOTH in terms of growth and risk with 1 being low risk/growth and 10 being high.
Thank you!
