Q: Hi a comment for Edgar.for a person who has as good as he did managing his own bucks to go to the hands off approach he would find frustrating .No one his going to have as much interest in his money thanEdgar to be successful at this game you trquire two key ingredients one is time and the other is interest .if you lack either let some else do it .i am approach 80 and I still do ok and love it.

Q: I would like to start accumulating the stocks in your Balanced Equity Portfolio. I own BNS and SLF in DRIPs as well as TSGI and RHT in my RRSP. I am overweight in financials with DRIPs for NA and BMO. I have small investments in Telus, TRP, SU, and BCE. These are all also DRIPs.
I am quite torn as to where to start. I don't like many of the valuations including that of CSU. If the valuations were lower, I would not be posing this question. I have lots of cash in my TFSA, RRSP, and spousal RRSP. I realize this is not great as the money is not being put to good use. Any suggestion would help.

Q: Would you support buying CU for income at this time? Is the price likely to decline further? As of today, the stock price is close to it's 52 week low of $30.80. I'm attracted to the 4.73% yield and the 10% dividend increases. If not CU, what else looks like an attractive buy for a longterm dividend income portfolio. (No banks please. I have plenty of bank stocks.)

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,

In your answer to Michael, you said: "We think XTR is a good option in either account, considering its income focus and very low fees."

According to the Blackrock website, XTR has a M.E.R. of 0.62%. Because it's an ETF of other ETFs, is 0.62% considered to be "very low fees"?

Q: hi, what is your opinion of MSCI?
It has a very enviable ROE (90+%) and the Profitability Ratios (all taken from your site) look very respectable.
PE might be a little high.
The ROE is generally the starting point for me to be interested in a stock (right or wrong :)).
Would you consider them the leaders in their respective space/sector? It seems like it might be a stock for good times and bad times.
(I stumbled upon this from a recent BNN suggestion/recommendation).

Q: With Scott Pruitt gone from the EPA but Trump praising his work/destruction of this agency what are the prospects for the sector now? I have referenced Questor and each state's ability (and intention?) to work around the deteriorating EPA umbrella as it affects this co of course relevant, but it would also be nice if you could take a broader view as well in your reply.

in my non registered account
I am looking for an income/dividend fund Canadian
and an international income/ dividend fund

would you recommend anything in the Royal Bank family of mutual funds for the
above ?
or an equivalent ETF
I have VIG already

Q: Your recommended etf list has xwd. It has a higher mer than xaw and is somewhat smaller. The return of xwd is better. What would you consider the more conservative etf?

I will pair one of the above with xic for my total equity exposure. I want to keep things simple. Can you buy into this strategy?
