Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CHP.UN)
Q: I have held AX.UN for quite some time. and I am up on it, solely through the DRIP. Would you recommend holding, and continuing to just build my gains from the dividend, or is there another real estate stock that would be better for the long term. My other real estate holdings are CHP.UN, FSV & CIGI.
Thanks
Thanks

Q: I am considering realizing gains on a 3% position in FSV and moving the proceeds into TCN. My thoughts here are to maintain exposure to US real estate with a lower valuation higher yield while still maintaining a growth tilt. Your comments on this move would be appreciated.

Q: Hell 5i Team,
I am planning to cash out mutual fund and invest it in stocks in my wife's RRSP account (75K) which will be around 1/3 od my existing portfolio (150K). I have my TFSA and RRSP invested in stocks (mostly from Balanced Equity portfolio). I am considering these names, which I don't have in my existing portfolio. Do you see any concern with any name? Please suggest a couple of names for growth potential, but not too risky.
Thanks for the great service.

Q: Hello 5i team,
I kept holding CIGI and FSV after you removed them from your BE portfolio; but then you added AIF. Since all 3 are competitors, is there a compelling reason that I should also hold AIF?
Thanks,
Antoine

Q: I have held FSV for several years and it has done very well. Is it still a good hold?
I want to add two U.S. Banks to my portfolio. Your suggestions, please.
Thank yoy for four very good years!

Q: Will these Canadian companies greatly benefit from the US tax cuts and would your recommend any or all of them as buys at this time Are the other Canadian companies you would prefer. Thanks for your terrific service.
Q: I've had a large gain in First Services and considering paring it back and investing the proceeds into BNS 385. Your opinion please. Thank you. Bob
Q: I was reading your answer to an earlier question on FSV earnings. The diluted earnings per share were 0.42 vs 0.43 a year ago and expectations of .50 for the quarter.
Which metric would you consider more relevant - diluted eps or the adjusted eps of 0.74? I would appreciate if you could provide the reasoning as it applies to FSV.
Expensive no doubt, but would you consider it a buy?
Regards.

Q: Looks like a good quarter but the stock price is falling. Any thoughts.
Q: Hi 5i
Looking for some sustainable growth companies that may offer compounding return.
I have been looking at First Service Corp currently priced at 88.85Can.
What are your thoughts about FSV continuing to put up high growth numbers after doing it for two decades? I see by their investor information they have 5% market share; leaving significant share for growth.
Do the estimates you have indicate significant growth trajectory will continue?
Thanks
Dave

Q: is the yield on these justified? also what is the growth rate going forward on these ones?
Q: What would be a "fair" price to start initiating a position in firstservice?
Q: Any news on FSV which is down 5% today. Downgrade or short attack?

Q: I am reviewing my holdings in Consumer non-cyclicals for my RRSP (balanced approach with 15+ years to convert to RRIF). I am underweight in this sector (4%) divided between CCL.B and FSV which you agreed in a previous Q&A that they can be considered c. non-cyclicals.
I’d like to increase to about 8-10% total by boosting one of the two holdings I already have (which one between CCL.B and FSV would be best at this time?) and/or acquiring one or two additional stocks. Here I think it would be wise to buy more typical c. non-cyclicals like ATD.B + PBH or perhaps simply just XST to get exposure to a basket of food-related stocks at once (primarly ATD.B, L, MRU, SAP). Your observations will be appreciated as always.

Q: I want to re-balance my portfolio across sectors but I found that a few holdings can fit more than one sector for all practical purposes.
CCL.B is classified as materials, but can we also consider it as consumer goods given its labeling and container products directly serve the retail market? If so would that be c. cyclical or non-cyclical?
MG is classified as c. cyclical, but can we also consider it as industrial?
I have a hard time with FSV which is classified as financial, but to me consumer non-cyclical (recurrent residential residential/condo maintenance fees, property services) is a better fit.
Finally, how about MDA? Can it be considered either technology or telecommunications?
Thank you for validating the above, it will be useful to explore my options.

Q: Any reason in particular for the weakness in FSV today or is it just because of light trading volumes?
