Q: Hi team,

In my question of January 27th on ARK ETFs, you had a nice development on half the question, that is the newest ARK ETFs, but nothing on the second part of the question.
Do you think you could elaborate ?

Q: Canada Post is currently piloting a Canada Post MyMoney Loan where funds would be delivered from TD to help expand access to financial services (loans) for Canadians.

The personal loans offered by Canada Post and delivered with TD are available in smaller dollar amounts starting at $1,000 – and up to $30,000 – with flexible repayment terms ranging from one to seven years. As always with TD products, customers can expect competitive interest rates.

Do you see this benefiting TD in any significant way and also do you see this hurting a company like GSY.

Q: At present, I own HWX, I was thinking of buying one more energy stock and was looking at either PXT or TVE. What would be your choice and reason why. Also with the big rise in oil, is it too late in the game to make such a purchase. Thanks

Q: After too many tiresome articles in financial media, including Barrons and WSJ, that one should “always” hold gold to diversify one’s portfolio, I gave in. I do not understand gold, have no idea how to value it and I certainly have no clue what affects the value of that asset. Notwithstanding my utter ignorance, I bought GLD:US just to shut-up the pesky, nagging voices in my head. After 2 years, GLD:US has been dead money. Worse, value is down > 10.%.

I wonder: is gold in any form, such as GLD, a *MEANINGFUL* ballast (although not a counterweight or hedge), in a 95% US-equities portfolio? Would you sell and move on?

Do you *really* think it prudent to keep holding GLD? If yes, I will continue to hold—and continue to be clueless.

Q: Hi there - I've been researching Equitable for a bit and really like it overall. My only issue (beyond a housing decline) is it's total debt (which seems quite high).

Could I possibly get your thoughts on that?

Q: You answered my question on EWY:us on August 13, 2021. I believe your answer needs to be revised as your observations on South Korea do not reflect economic reality. I recently returned from a business trip to South Korea and found the economy vibrant and its people remarkably hardworking. I still own EWY:us and since your response to my question, EWY has only been going down. Korean industry, especially semis, medical equipment, heavy industries are all humming. Yet EWY including flagships like Samsung, Hyundai &c. are all down. I am reluctant to sell after what I saw there, but ask you : (Diversification is not a sufficient enough reason for me to hold).
Would *YOU* continue to hold? Thank you.

Q: Could 5I please give me the annualized return for QYLD dividend plus capital gain/loss for the last five years..... Looking at the chart in my TD Webroker it looks like not much more than the dividend . Which TD shows as 11.35% ...... I'd like to get two numbers if I could ..... One ignoring the current correction in the NASDAQ { 2022 } and one including it .......Thanks Garth

Q: I previously asked you about MDT (November 3, 2021). You suggested to wait till January 2022. My original question has specifics including asking you to confirm certain key ratios. Kindly update your answer, especially in view of yesterday’s positive article on MDT. MDT and other medical equipment businesses have been stumbling due to Covid. I especially like MDT products in my med work, but that of course is not enough reason to buy.

Kindly confirm what you see on Bloomberg for the following:
PEG
FWD P/E
ROE and ROCI

Do you think the value for EV/FCF makes MDT a decent buy today?

Q: Hi, Can I get your analysis of this company? It has been on a severe downtrend for the last 2 years and shows some negative momentum. It seems the renewables are trending downwards and yet there is a push worldwide for more renewables. wondering if I should unload my shares to switch into bip and bam. Thanks

Q: Hello, Can I get your analysis on the best way to play the fossil fuel industry. Would it be in buying an etf such as xle or buying a big company such as chevron or total and buying a midcap such as Cheniere or Tourmaline. Do you think the oil market will stay tight for the next few years? Thanks

Q: I see that the underlying sectors held in an ETF are taken into account in the portfolio analysis. For individual companies, are regional exposures taken into account in the same way? E.g. if a Canadian company has significant US exposure, would this count as both Canada and US when looking at geographical risk?
