Q: Hello

I finally bought into the thinking that GSY is helpful for some of the Canadian population. I bought shares recently when I thought things were not looking so bad.
GSY investment has given me the experience of a Waterfall/ Falling Knife Chart and it appears to continue to drain away capital value.
Terrible investment for me despite being what I thought to be a decent buy point.

The valuation I know is compelling.........everyone says those useless words.
Does this company have the financial ability to make it through this crashing market?
What is the indicator that makes you believe it to be so?

Thanks

Q: Could you please offer an opinion on two Manulife funds, both managed by Alan Wicks. Both monthly high income funds, one Canadian MMF1040 and one US MMF9927. Not absolutely positive on the ticker numbers, they seem to have so many versions? My wife's advisor has suggested switching her accounts from the Canadian to the US version.

Q: Hello, thinking of selling these stocks for tax loss reasons (10-15%). Although one would think a very possible recession with the related decrease in earnings is already baked in share prices, I am afraid it is not entirely so. I intent to buy these stocks back in a month, hopefully with a lower SP. Is the tradeoff between tax loss and the risk of share prices jumping much higher worth it? Thanks

Q: Just switched 200 shares of FTS to CPX and then noticed a reply to a client question that stated BEPC a little better than CPX.
Your thoughts will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Q: Portfolio is high quality safer high yield dividend growers. Any like AQN that you would suggest selling and upgrading to another company? Ideally would like to maintain/increase the yield (maybe take advantage of high quality stocks that have been hit harder) without increasing the current risk of the portfolio? Not keen to sell low yielding BEP right now as its down a fair bit but I'm sure better days are ahead.

Current portfolio holdings are:
AW.UN AQN BNS BCE BEP.UN ENB EIF MFC SLF SYZ T TD

Q: What are your top 3 Cdn Utilities and top 3 Cdn Telecomms for Growth and Income, given recent pullbacks. Is this a good time to buy or should I wait for things to settle. Will Utilities and Telecomms provide some security heading into or during a recession.

Thanks
Tim
