Q: Peter/Ryan, RESP to be used starting in 3 years has BNS, GUD, OTC & PHO all ~15% + 40% cash. Would COV and/or VB be good additions ~10% each ? What else would you add or subtract ? Thank you.

Q: Hello Peter and the team,
Linamar's price has fallen a lot since the earning release. What is the company's outlook next 1-2 years? Is it a good time to buy a partial position? If yes, is it better in TFSA or taxable account?
If you see the same question, please disregard the 1st one. I posted the same question this afternoon, but I couldn't find it.
Thanks.

Q: CPX stock has done pretty well lately, better than many of its utility peers. Do you still regard it as a so-so buy?
Q: Hello 5i team,
Today's Globe & Mail:

Two analysts re-rated Descartes Systems following release of 1st Qtr earning. One analyst (Laurentian Bank), re-rated the stock to "Hold from Buy" on valuation concerns and a slight miss on adjusted earning while all other metrics were higher than analysts' estimates, and then went on and commented on the company's strong potential growth going forward and increased his target to US $32.50. The other analyst (Canaccord), rated the stock a "Buy" and increased his target to US $35.00 from US $34.00. The analyst commented on the company's consistency, M&A activity providing the company's with faster growth segments with expected EBITDA growth of 15% suggesting the stock deserves a premium. Meanwhile the market reacted by selling down the stock with a mid-day drop of CAD $2.00. What gives? Please help me understand what drives markets in the short term and what is your recommendation on Descartes going forward.
Thank you!

Q: I would like your opinion on Altagas receipts - what are current prospects?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: It looks like Alaris doesn’t cover it’s dividend currently. Wanted to make sure I was correct. If so how long could they maintain their divided before having to cut?
Q: So now it makes sense why it crashed with no "news" I mean no news for us, but the promoters of the stock, new well in advance of all the inside maneuvers and took their profits , while dumb money are .. well dump money. Pretty much all health care stocks have been a disaster: PHM, CXR, PLI, CRH. The only way to make money on this type of stocks is to be early and leave once everybody is talking about them.

Q: What are your thoughts on BNS at these prices and the negative sentiment around a few things (expense increase, acquisition today SP down 2.5% afterhours, and Russia)? I own the stock but have been looking closely at it lately and wondering if I should be sticking with it, buying more, or moving elsewhere. I feel the south american presence adds diversity but also risk. The market is clearly beating BNS up more than the other banks for a few reasons. Most concerning is when I look at the top 4 biggest banks in size (BNS being 3rd), BNS has performed the worst over 1yr, 2yr, and 5yr periods. Looking at that I'm not seeing the higher dividend being worth the lack of performance. What am I missing?
Q: What stocks would you suggest for the cyber security space in Canada and/or US? Thanks again.
Q: RHT at $1.50 is a good entry price or still expensive.? Thanks

Q: Greetings 5i,
I sock away a bit of cash for the summer months as i find there is always a few opportunities to pick up a good companies at a discount. I limit this to a small portion of my portfolio but would like your recommendations on your top 5 CDn (growth) and 5 top US Dividend Payers (need US income) that you would pick up on a dip or low volume during the summer months? Last August was a great example of picking up really good names at a discount. I realize there are no guarantees that we will see the same market but always on the lookout to pick good long term names to add to my portfolio. In the past i have picked up Visa, JPM this way.
Thanks for your advice.
