Q: Hi 5i
I am still keeping an eye on BGI.un for a possible entry point and wondering with the pull back that has occurred over the past few months if the time is right to take a position or is there some negative news that has caused the pull back and I should be cautious? Appreciate you opinion. Thanks
Q: Starbucks seemed to have reported a good quarter in its most recent quarter. What are your thoughts about this company's future growth and outlook? Is it too late to buy?
I have had a 1% position in NEO for quite a while. It is has recovered a lot this last year but it is just above where it was back in 2018. With all the talk of a expanding onshore production of keep compounds/components, the shortage of rare earth minerals and the future with renewable energy I would have thought NEO would have performed even better. What do you see in NEO's future e.g. is the business unique and scaleable? do you see the company as having margin & pricing power going forward (or is it like any other commodity play), do you see it as a company that has a good runway ahead of itself and thus can increase it's market cap? Finally in terms of increasing my position, do you see it as fully valued at 19.29, or do you see value at this level and might add to it up to 2% weight?
Q: What are your thoughts on this company? I assume speculative until they prove their extraction process? Does it ever make sense to take on this type of a risk for this type of investment. Thanks.
Q: Comparing OVV and SU, is it pretty obvious that SU is a better company? Can you comment on which has a greater upside potential. My guess from your answers of the last week is that SU is the obvious choice (especially w/ the recent dividend hike.
Thanks!

Q: Out of the above companies (CRWD, ROKU, SNAP, PATH, DDOG, TWLO) - which do you have the most conviction for? How would you rank them? Are there any of this list that you would avoid?
Q: Hi Team, I've listed above some of the non-performers in my portfolios and I'm wondering if there are any I should sell or should I continue to wait it out on all listed.
Q: Looking at AW.UN for income. Are there any particular tax benefits or tax issues related to income received from a Royalty Income Fund such as AW.UN? How are taxes treated compared to regular dividend income? Would you hold AW.UN in registered or non registered? Thank you,
Q: Hello 5i,
I’m helping a conservative investor with a tfsa. Vbal makes up half of the account.
In trying to boost monthly income I’ve come up with the above etfs.
Based on 2020 distributions, how would each of the above etfs be taxed if held in a tfsa?
Also, can you please verify the sector exposure of zup (similar to pff - usd) I thought the financial % was underweight.
Q: Can you please comment on the quarters earning report. Anything worth noting from the conference call (either positive or negative)? Do you still like the prospects of this company moving forward for the long term?
Q: Hello Peter,
What are Nvei's and CSU's estimates? Also, for lower volumes stocks like csu, and topicus, how does a manager sell them? For example, I was trying to sell 10 shares of csu at price x and 100 shares of toi at price y, i placed a limit order for a period of time. On many occasions, the stock hit those limit prices, but i never got them filled. I checked with the brokerage and i was informed that there were not many shares traded at that time so did not fill. Hence, how would a large institution sell a large block when a retail person can't even fill smaller shares due to lower volumes.. What would you suggest a sell or buy strategy for lower volume shares? Thanks very much
Q: What crappy news to wake up this a.m. All down substantially pre market
When you consider the results of each of these companies and they were all current holdings at reasonable weightings would you hold, sell, or buy more given the levels they have fallen to and your outlook going forward?
