Q: I'm a bit overweight on Energy. I'm also wondering if energy macro is deteriorating. I was thinking can oilseeds would be positive with transcontinental opening. But now I hear China demand is low, and if usa is in recession also not good. I assume canada in recession too. Can you help sort the macro out? Do you see oil prices generally low and deteriorating on the next 1-2 years? Or will demand be there?

Q: Would you see any reason to keep either of these companies... they have been a drag on my portfolio of a long time. I am thinking of deploying this money into WGX (the KRR merger)?

Q: Good Morning all.

I currently have a portfolio weighting of 18.1% financials versus the recommended 15%. Individual stocks at 1/2 to full positions include the 4 banks, SLF, ING, MA, TSU, ONEX, BN and BAM. (I do need to consolidate I think).

All have been doing more or less what I would expect; except ONEX. It has been a frustrating stock to own, with a downtrend for the years, in my view, a management enrichment program.

The question - would it make more sense to shed this stock and perhaps one of the banks, then roll the funds into a BN or BAM.

Thanks as always!

Dave

Q: Hello Peter,
I have noticed today with some stocks trading on US exchanges showing gain of 3 or 4 percent, yet the same stock on canadian shows negative. For example, ENB traded 2 percent higher on US exchange but negative half percent on canadian .. the time stamps were the same.. I thought the stock price will reflect the exchange rate but the gain or loss should be the same.. are you able to assist? Thanks
