Can you advise your top two reset preferred stocks and if they offer minimum resets? Also from a macro point of view is this an alright time to purchase?

Q: I have cash in my TFSA that I would like to use for a new half-position in a growth micro-small cap stock. I already own GSY and PHO in that category. Could you recommend 1 or 2 stocks that would be a buy at the moment?

Q: I saw Ryan's pick of Descartes on BNN and wonder if you can comment on what catalysts you see for this to go a leg up? My admittedly basic technical analysis doesn't suggest any upward movement so I assume this is underpriced based on fundamentals. My question then is when do you expect it to move and what factors will cause the stock to move upwards?

I have the following in my Can. cash acct. would you suggest any to be moved to my TFSA in kind, for tax reasons? Would be $5500 for 2018 contribution. All have done well in growth and I look forward for them to continue.

Q: Constellation Brands released their 3rd quarter results today and stock dropped about 3%, as company moderated its full year expectations to the lower end of forecast. Overall profit was higher, though. What do you think of the results and the company for a small investment, as a part of sector allocation ( and US Equity exposure) for long term ? I have been thinking about it for a while, but never got an opportunity. Thanks

We have been considering TMX Group (X-T) to add to our holdings for some time.
We are long term hold and income investors.

In a recent answer to a question (December 11, 2017) regarding TMX you replied…
“..The main concern would be the lack of new listings, but listing are somewhat cyclical.”
David Baskin, regarding TMX mentioned on BNN (January 4, 2018) … “Business is going well on all fronts, and the TSX was #1 in international listings last year.”
Do the recent ‘newly’ listed cannabis companies on the TSX improve your opinion of the ‘lack of new listings’ ?

Perhaps I am misinterpreting something here, if so I do apologize.
Do you happen to have any new outlook for TMX for 2018?

Q: My portfolio is 50% U.S; 20% Asia; 30% CAN; I was waiting for the NAFTA negotiations to lower the CAN dollar at which time I would repatriate some cash from the U.S. To CAN.....however with the strong commodity market of late the CAN dollar is surging........should I wait or repatriate now? Just looking for another opinion...... Thank you!

Q: I have a small amount of cash in my TFSA as a result of dividend income. I have less than a full position in the above companies either as a result of smaller purchases or because they have dropped since purchase. (HWO) Which of the above would you add to? Thank you, Rod

Q: At the beginning of each year I like to invest in my tfsa first as I feel its the best investment vehicle I have. But my portfolio is very Canada heavy due to some selling at the end of the year. So I have a bit of dilemma in that I have funded my tfsa but the stocks I'd like to buy are american for diversification reasons. I do have a few Canadian stocks I'd like to buy but it will only add to my lack of geographic diversification. But I know my tfsa is not the best location for US stocks from a tax efficiency point of view. So my question is, what do you think is more important? Adding geographic diversification right away (buy a US stock in my tfsa) or the tax efficiency of my portfolio (Buy Canadian Growth and buy US later in the year).

Q: For growth and maximum return in a TFSA, would you suggest BCE with the good dividend or ATD.B as the riskier but more to gain investment? I know you don't have a crystal ball but based on your best research? Thanks

Happy New Year and thanks again for the great service. I own SPE and my average price was around current price, Spe doesn’t seem to go above $7.50, is it fully valued at $7.50, I am thinking to switch out to GUD and LUN , could I have your opinion please, thanks.
