Q: Would appreciate your guidance on building a healthcare portfolio with these names and any other suggestions divided into 2 categories [1] core [to constitute the bulk of the portfolio] and [2] growth, for a 3+ year hold. If you could add a few thoughts on each as to why you like or not, that would be most helpful.

Q: Hi 5i,

Looking for your top 2 or 3 fixed income recommendations for the market we're in, and where you feel we may be headed in the next 12-24 months. Looking for some bond ETFs, preferably Canadian listed.

Criteria is primarily capital preservation with some return to blunt the impact of inflation, and of course liquidity. I want to hold dry powder for buying opportunities I believe will come with recession, but I hate the idea of sitting in cash.

Q: My discount broker provides the following comments under a comment heading for clients buying corporate bonds of Canadian banks:

"Bail In" or "Bail-In -debt"

Can you please explain why some bonds of Canadian banks have such a comment attached to them while other bank bonds do not?

Q: What are your updated thoughts on OBE? I have a partial position and planned to increase to a full position until their news release today. In such a strong oil and gas environment, why does a company need to commit to an 11.95% interest rate on 5 year notes. Am I missing something, OBE scores well on a number of metrics that I monitor so I thought they would be able to negotiate a better interest rate.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I sold 'WELL' at a loss in my TFSA, does the buy back rule still apply in a TFSA or can I buy it back before the 30 days. In a regular account is the 30 days business days or just 30 days in all. Thanks as always.

Q: Hello, I am wondering what your thought is on nuclear energy and uranium stocks. As we know the world is turning fully electric with cars and much more. All this power has to come from somewhere and nuclear seems like one of the best ways to create clean energy. I know OPG is building a new SMR (small modular reactor) at darlington plant in the future and if it all goes well more are to be put up in other areas. Would this be a sector worth while looking into sooner rather then later?

Q: TK on July 26 (I saw this on the 25th) questioned you about SHOP saying he didn't want to throw good money after bad. You advised you added it to your portfolio indicating it was a buy. I seen this prior to buying it on the 25th at $47.9 and on the 26th in the morning it was down under $40. I assume you follow this stock quite closely as it seems one of the more popular stocks you deal with, Was this so well hidden by the company that even Sherlock Holmes would not uncover the issues they were having? Q: Right now I have GOOG at about 5% and ATY around 2%. I am thinking of selling ATY and about 1% of GOOG to purchase some ROKU. Does this seem like a good idea?
