Q: XNET, CGNX, OLED - These stocks are wake up in the morning stocks to find them down between 10 and 20%. They continue to underperform the market but they all looked wonderful when I bought them. Some I became aware of on BNN and some on your question and answer section - people writing in about them. I was wondering about 2 stocks that have looked great for quite some time being - NTLA and MYOK - your opinion: if I were to sell one of the underperformers listed above (which one above would you suggest) and replace it with NTLA or MYOK which one would you pick or do you have something better to replace it with? I know you do not deal with the US but hopefully you will start a US version up like you started an ETF letter up as a lot of people are always asking about US stocks. Thank you, Dennis

Q: The latest Liberal budget seems determined to put the nail in the coffin for Canada's economic future.
Some points from the Financial Post: “Declining business investment remains a critical concern for Canada, which is a signal that entrepreneurs, investors and business owners don’t see the country as a hospitable place to do business. From the end of 2014 to the latest quarter with data, the level of (non-residential) business investment in the country declined by 19 per cent, after accounting for inflation. Among a group of 17 industrialized countries, Canada now has the second-lowest level of business investment as a share of GDP.”

Q: My question is regarding CDIC coverage for GICs in related companies. Specifically, is there $100,000 CDIC coverage for each of Laurentian Bank, Laurentian Trust, LBC Trust and B2B Bank, all of which are 100% owned by the same parent company, for a theoretical total of $400,000 for the group; or is it $100,000 combined total for these related financial institutions. The same question for Home Trust and Oaken, as well as others.

Q: Looks like institutions are pulling funds out of the energy sector. Is this mainly due to the federal budget or are the millenials the new porfolio managers and do not care about investing in the energy sector.
Oil is still at $62 yet these company stock's are acting like oil is at $29
What is your opinion going forward?

Q: I hold Crius primarily for income. The sharp drop today though was a big surprise...despite knowing that Seeking Alpha is behind it and they could be spreading misinformation.
While I plan to continue holding for now I would like to be reasonably confident that Crius has been and is being responsible in managing dividend payouts. That information will be pivotal in deciding whether or not to buy more.

Would you please outline the “math” to support the fact that Crius. been fiscally responsible in this regard ....or not.

Q: Hello to all at 5i:
Is there some proxy you can suggest to gain an alternative exposure to the telecom sector other than the traditional companies in the space? I own Telus common shares and Bell preferreds and don’t want to increase those positions but am still underweight the sector. I’m really not interested in owning “more of the same” in Canada (RCI.B) and really don’t want Vodofone, AT&T, Verizon or a U.S. telecom ETF (which I think will be largely the latter two companies?). All I really see are slowing revenues and slowing dividends and lackluster share performance. I’m having trouble identifying opportunities that fit my usual investment thesis in this sector. Is there another way to play it that I’m not seeing?
