Q: Knight Therapeutics (GUD) is my largest holding. Each morning, I get up and while doing the usual ten minute standing ab routine to get going, I wonder what Johnathan Goodman is doing. Unlike me, he has about $760M in cash in his pockets and, again unlike me, he seems unwilling to part with it. I completely understand this is a long term investment and I look at it as a form of security for our future but if he were to go out and buy "someone big" with a product line and a sales force, I can't help but dream that this stock will multiply significantly. Can you send him a message and tell him to start doing those ab exercises. He needs to get moving.
Am I being a little impatient and do you see any signs of activity that might be remotely encouraging?
Thanks.

Q: A former financial advisor friend of mine tells me to be cautious regarding ETFs in a downturn because they have not been tested yet. He informed me that the sale protocol is different between selling a mutual fund vs an ETF and that the ETF could be more volatile. So far I have found both to be less volatile than simply holding stocks which to me can move up and down much more rapidly. For example: PKI moves significantly from time to time while FAI which holds PKI among other stocks moves up and down marginally due to the variety of stocks held. That being said, if there is a strong correction would a mutual fund be a better hold than an ETF of similar holdings?

Q: What are your thoughts on yamana gold notwithstanding your preference for B2, kl, and agnico. I understand yamana has diluted itself as well as put its focus on a single mine, as well as the brio disappointment, not to mention the price of gold which has languished. Yet.. with favourable gold seasonality approaching, and the backdrop of geopolitical issues, if this mid-tier stock were to move downward toward around perhaps $3.30 again could you make a case for purchase of yamana ?
