Q: Do you recommended QCOM as a good stock to own for long term dividend growth? Are you concerned about Apple and other cellphone manufacturers moving away from QCOM technology? I already own TXN and AVGO - is QCOM sufficiently different to hold as well?

Q: Hi 5i Team - Do you have confidence that the management team can execute on their plans. We have held this stock for some time based on their potential but it doesn't seem to realize this potential. It's performance has been disappointing so am wondering what it would take to get discouraged investors interested again. What are the insider holdings and has there been any recent buying or selling by them. If you think it best to wait until after it reports
tomorrow before answering that's fine. I am considering selling all our shares and using the money elsewhere but want to consider all the factors. Thanks.

Q: Hi, I'm considering adding a Canadian bank. I only hold TD. Which bank would you consider to be the best to add at this time for a longtime core holding? I'm thinking of doing a quarter position at this time and build that position over time. Also I started a quarter position in ATD recently and I'm watching it at the moment. Would you consider ATD to be fairly safe at these levels and an attractive stock to increase that position at the current price or wait to see if it's still in the bottoming process. Q: Hi, just wondering if you had a chance to listen to the AGM of these companies this morning. I listened to it and they discussed a whole range of topics. They're all down 2-4% today. I'm assuming investors have some concerns of rising competition, ease of capital deployment, M&A opportunities, lowering hurdle rates, etc. Any concerns or thoughts going forward and do you see them continuing to outperform over the long term? These are long term holds for me. CSU is my largest holding at 5.8%, followed by LMN at 5.2% and TOI at 2.2%. Do these allocations look reasonable or should I balance them all out more evenly? Q: Hi, looking at a couple of stocks that have had a good run. TVK comes to mind, I now have about a 7%+ position and doubled my money on this stock (thanks for your good work). I know it’s a personal preference but I’m unsure, part of me says let it run, another says sell at least 25% .
Do you have a set rule that you use with higher growth stock? And of course if I sell I have to find something else, or preserve my capital. (A good problem to have).

Q: Hi there, often times the 4% rule is used as a foundation for retirement planning. I believe the original study used US equities and US bonds as the funds to develop the 4% withdrawal rule. Obviously no one has a crystal ball, but what would be your opinion on using as international equity ETF with the 4% rule rather than a US fund such as VFV? If you were make an educated guess, do you believe using funds such as XEQT/VEXT and VAB/XBB instead of US funds would yield similar results as the 4% study over the longterm going forward?

I am always interested in your strategy for options and the question about selling call options for Microsoft this morning raised some. I know that selling options can have many variables and will be context specific. And I realise that you cannot give a hard and fast set of rules. So, I hope you will bear with me on these questions. This morning you said that you would likely sell a call on msft going out a month for about $470. Today msft is at about $449. So, about a $20 difference. In previous posts you said that you would sell a call option just a few dollars above the price. I would take this to mean more like say $455 than $470. $20 represents about 5%. Is that what youwould see as a good point.?

Also on the idea of selling a put immediately upon exercise of the call. Would it be reasonable to sell both a call and a put at the same time and then if it was called away, then sell another put at $470?
