Thoughts on the AvidXchange IPO ? thank you

Q: I see anecdotal evidence that 25 to 40% of the population is unvaccinated and will not get the vaccine. What does our economy look like with 25 to 40% unemployment if mandates force these people out of the workforce?

Q: You have said that there is lots of money on the sidelines. How do we know that? Who’s money is it? Retail or institutional? If it’s retail and a recession comes will it come back into the market or be spent or elsewhere?

Q: Is "Profit taking" just investment speak for "the price is falling and I don't have a clue why, but because I'm supposed to know I need a term that is very vague and makes sense to the masses"?

It's a term you hear all the time but what does it mean?

It seems strait forward enough. Investors bought lower and are now selling and taking their profits. Good for them; Isn't that what you are supposed to do? According to Will Rogers; "Don't gamble with your money, just buy some good stocks and when they go up, sell them" Take Profit!!!

Who is taking profits?

Is this the so called smart money?

What do these guys know that we don't?

If we are holding a stock that has started to go down because of profit taking, should we be concerned?

At what point does a decline stop being profit taking?

FID269 - Fid Monthly Inc;
FID5973 - Fid Global Innovation;
FID207 - Fid Global Concentrated Equity;
RBC460 - Sel Bal Ptf
TDB2760 - Td Retirement Balance
TDB652 - Td Global Entertainment & communication
TDB976 - Td Health Science
TDB2580 Td Tactical Monthly Inc
My goal is to replace these mutual funds with long term, high yielding where possible, low MER, CDN or US $ equivalent ETFs. Please provide 2 or 3 suggestions for each. Please deduct as many credit s as need.

Q: I sold 33% of my shares in Shaw in March, shortly after the take over bid was announced. At an ACB of $22, it's a nice gain. Given the current price of $36, do you think it's worth the risk of holding out for another $4. A bird in the hand .......

I know you haven’t been big fans of WBA due to their debt load. They had a decent earnings beat today, boosted by Covid vaccinations. They took a majority interest in Village MD to open more health clinics attached to their drugstores. They are also considering exiting the sale of tobacco products.

The fund documentation states ‘Deposits securely invested in cash accounts with Schedule 1 Canadian banks’.
