Q: Good morning, if one was to look for international oil and gas exposure, other than through a Canadian listed company like VET, would you prefer a service company like SLB, or a large integrated like XOM, CVX, BP, or RDS. Although you don't follow these, is there anything that you particularly like? Thanks!

Q: I am selling my Conoco Phillips for tax loss reasons and looking at what to replace it with. What are your favourite big oil stocks? All the fundamentals look pretty bad to me but comparing charts over the last decade I find Chevron and CNRL seem to be stand out performers. I would prefer to have a good dividend which is fairly safe since I am semi retired.

If this question is beyond your scope of research, please ignore it. I am looking to buy a US large cap that has a dividend and a higher level of safety. I am considering Chevron (CVX). What is your opinion of this company? Would you recommend an alterative from any sector other than materials.
