Q: Hello 5i
With recent diverging prices for each FTS(up) and ENB(down) over the long term what are your thoughts on selling FTS to buy ENB?
There is a yield pick up and potential to see ENB bounce back up from its sagging stock price.
Is there anything significant in the ENB price decline?
Should we expect continued weakness?

Q: What are your thoughts on the return prospects of BB and RFP? I noticed that Prem Watsa holds significant positions in these two stocks and I am having a hard time understanding the potential of these positions other than a speculative bet, which I don't think he would be making? What am I missing here? Thanks.

Q: Hello Team

I have noted that you like Enbridge. I am a relatively conservative investor and at present my holding in Enbridge is 4.3% of my Canadian portfolio. Because Enbridge is at the bottom end of its yearly high/low I am wondering if this is a good time to increase my holding it it. If so, how much of a high-end weighting would you suggest?

I am retired and have about 15% in cash in my Canadian portfolio at present. On the surface, it seems to me that the ENB dividend alone would suggest I deploy some cash into good, solid dicidend stocks.

Q: I am really confused as big majority of guests on BNN recommend/like ENB,but market dislikes it(1yr negative 15% vs TSX positive 5%;2yr -10% vs +12%;& 3yr -1% vs +10%) Trp has much better performance(1Yr -1%; 2yr +40% & 3yr +18%.However a technican recently stated that it is on a downward trend & better opportunities elsewhere.What are the reasons to stick with ENB?Is a turnaround expected soon.Is this a value trap or opportunity?Thanks for your usual great services & views

Q: In your recent report on Absolute Software, you refer to Van Berkom and Associates as a major stockholder of that company.

Checking their website I was struck by the astounding track record for their Canadian Small-Cap Strategy Fund. Over a period of 25 years it generated a compound annualized rate of return of 13,93%. However the website does not give any specific info on the stocks that currently make up the portfolio.

Do you have that piece of info or do you know of a site where it is available?

Q: Hi 5i team. There maybe a few questions here so please deduct as required. Knowing that bonds need to be part of a well diversified portfolio, more on the income side, what are your thoughts about establishing a position now with the current yield curve. I'm covered with a diversified mixed of stocks and pref's and individual bonds but would like to move or grow into a mix of bond ETF's for 20 - 30% of my total portfolio. Thinking more of corporates, both Canada and US with the following on my watch list; ZCS, ZHY, HYI, PFH, XHY. What other ETF's might I be missing or should I consider.

Q: Good morning and thanks for your service which is invaluable to me...I hold cbl - crh - gps - ikm - itc - and phm ... all except cbl are owned in protected account and all represent 5% of my portfolio at cost and 3.5% current value.. my question is what if anything should I do with these stocks as my portfolio is up over 13% this year with your other stocks...thanks...Gene

Q: Peter, what are your thoughts on Clean Teq (CLTQF-OTC), chaired by Canadian mining old hand Robert Friedland? It has done very well for me over the past 12 months but it seems to be in the right space and with the right resource (cobalt used in ev batteries etc.) to have a long, clear growth runway ahead.

Also, it is hard to find cobalt producers outside the DRC. This from Seeking Alpha: "Clean TeQ (OTCQX:CTEQF) is poised to become the largest producer of cobalt outside of Democratic Republic of Congo, the wobbly country which produces more than 53% of world's cobalt yet is notorious for its geopolitical instability."

Could you comment on the fundamentals of the company?
