Q: I recently read an article saying Goldman Sachs reports their base case for US tariff negotiations to include long-standing percents to be remain in place. As in, the rates may or may not change from their present 10%. I am trying to make informed decisions about expected uncertainty and whether strategic portfolio balancing needs to be done. Appreciating we don’t have a crystal ball, don’t see the sustained tariffs as a likely outcome and would you recommend any responses to higher probability outcomes to this? For example- avoiding high-multiple US stocks emerging markets or others.

Q: Regarding the question about form 1042-S, I asked Perplexity "where to input numbers for form 1042-S. on American tax return. and it came up with a very good answer which I am not putting here as the answer is long and depends on circumstances.

Q: Good afternoon,
One of the services I like to check in on for fun does technical analysis video updates for the overall happenings in the markets that can be found on YouTube (and obviously should be met a fair share of skepticism), well today one of the things they’re talking about is a rare Zweig Breadth Thrust signal.
I realize that your wheelhouse is focusing on good companies and in the long run that's what matters most, however I was wondering if you’ve noticed the same signal (ie, did it actually happen)?
Thank you
PS. I submitted the question as private, but please free to make it a public question if you feel it is a good learning question for other members.

Q: Can I have your thoughts on Cisco and Nvidia partnership? Do you think that Cisco is a buy at this level for growth and dividend?
Thank you,

Q: FDD - First Trust STOXX European Select Dividend Index Fund isn't listed on your site but I hold some of it and am thinking of getting more. It has a high yield but hasn't done much the last few years, up until this year, when it's shot up nicely. What do you think of it and it's risks?
Q: Can you give your thoughts on INMD's earnings today? The market isn't liking the continued rev and profit deceleration, and again lowered guidance. They blame economic forces but this pre dates Trump and the recent pullback, so one has to believe their previous products keep losing brand power. They have a lot of cash, and they bought back a lot of shares but its seeming like a bit of a value trap since the buybacks aren't making up for the business decel. They released a newer product in the last year but at this point we have no clue if its going to do well. Is this still a hold for you? Thx
Q: Form 1042-S
Hi there,
I know you 're not a tax expert but maybe you are familiar with form 1042-S. Just asking where to input the numbers under this form on my tax return. This is the first time I received on this one. The reason Im asking is because I asked my broker and still they did not get back to me.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter et al,
You folks are very knowledgeable about Long Short Options and other hedging techniques. With that in mind, may I ask for your opinion about Simplify ETFs for income. I was impressed by Michael Greene's interview on Danny Moses' podcast.
(On the tape with Danny Moses).
Looked at his website and he seems to offer a lot of income generating ETFs based on solid instruments. (Bonds, Treasuries and Solid stocks). HIGH, BUCK, CRDT, AGGH etc.,
The MER seems reasonable. But only available in USD.
Worth dipping in? Which one would you as their best offering?
If you think there are better alternatives here in Canada or even in the US, please feel free to share your suggestions.
Many thanks.

Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB $42.73)
-
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (The) (GS $745.23)
-
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM $291.26)
-
Wells Fargo & Company (WFC $78.79)
Q: Given that they had been put into the penalty box because of past transgressions with account openings, I had a thesis that WFC would benefit significantly from the Trump administration plan to deregulate. Unfortunately, my timing was off, the shares had already increased and dropped after I invested. At this point I wonder if I should abandon my thesis and move to another financial holding. In your view, would GS be a better investment? And why? Alternatively, although Regional banks were hit hard in the past, FITB seems to be favourably viewed; would that be better than WFC or GS? And if so, why? This is in a TFSA and looking for growth, not income. Many thanks for your excellent service.

Q: What should one do with Vermillion? In 3 short years, the management has taken this established company from $30 to under $ 9.00, while having an established company, and selling at world prices. Should one have hope, or move to a better managed company. If so, which O & G company would you recommend

Q: Could you comment on Q1 just released. Did they beat expectations? They gave an update on projects in the pipeline, drill results... how can we interpret this part of the report?

SAN has been on a positive run this year hitting a new high. I know you do not follow European Banks. However any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Apparently they are selling their Polish Bank. So do you think all the good news has been baked in? Do you think it has any more up side or will it plateau soon and maybe retreat? Thanks for your insights!

Q: Hi Folks,
For my RRSP account I am looking at adding one of MFC, SLF or GWO. May I have your opinion as to which one you feel would be best taking the dividend and growth in consideration.
Thanks
