It is certainly a very robust project (the largest undeveloped copper reserves in the world). But....it has been in dispute in one form or another for more than a decade. The EPA and Biden cancelled the project, Trump tried to re-start it, and now the EPA has shuttered it again. NDM says the court move is the 'fastest' way to resolve this, but of course 'fast' doesn't equate to 'victory'. Buying the stock right now is essentially a long short lottery ticket on everything being approved. The stock is certainly worth a lot more if it is approved, but these scenarios are beyond an investors' control, and it is certainly not looking good for the company right now. Some republicans, including Trump's son, have publicly opposed the project. We do not think it is a good bet at this time.
