Q: It would appear that a merger for AYA is no longer in the cards (please excuse the pun). What are your views, then, on the company going forward? Is is now fairly valued or are there reasonable growth prospects?

The two concerns I have are that the inability to find a partner suggests that there is a lack of value/interest in the company and secondly, that the management in place does not have Baasov's vision or ability to grow the firm.

Are either of these concerns founded?

Appreciate your insight.

Q: TD reported today that long positions are increasing in oil stocks.

Q: I have a question about Grenville Strategic Royalty's announcement yesterday about their stopping their dividend (which I expected) and their new partnerships (which I did not expect). Q: Intrinsyc Technologies stock continues to climb setting another 52-week high today at $2.00. Nobody covers the stock and never gets mentioned by small cap professionals on BNN given its strong financial performance. Is it still a buy at these levels despite being up over 100% this year so far?

Q: Hallo I5, my cash position is over 25% and would like to buy one or more of the above stocks with div. income in mind and some growth. I like the chart of MFR.un but can not find any information MER, holdings, etc. I also own MAW104 and Maw105 in my portfolio and I am up 25% on both, should I take profit? Q: Hello: If you were to pick ETF's today for an RRSP, one to cover Europe and another the US, what would your choice be? Large-medium-small cap at this point would make very little difference. They would be for a long term hold.

Q: I want to start a portfolio with my kids who are still in their 20s, while at the same time teaching a little of "how to". Do you have any suggestions? Any particular literature you prefer, or your own approach would be terrific.
I could always buy off of your list but then not much teaching would occur:)

Q: How should be value pipeline companies. P/E ratios do not seem accurate given large amounts of depreciation. Should we look at Price to EBITDA or Price to Adjusted EBITDA or should we examine EV to EBITDA?

Q: I purchased Sun Life for some exposure to a rising rate environment even though I don't expect rates to increase very much. My concern with Sun Life and other insurance companies is there exposure to Canadian real estate as part of their investments. I know that Sun Life has an active real estate division and they purchased a real estate company in 2015 as well. Do you think this is a risk in the event of a real estate downturn in Canada? Safer to play Fairfax which I understand has zero exposure to Canadian real estate, despite its higher valuation? Am I over thinking things here?
