Q: The 5G chipmakers are where I think the big money can be made. Do you think Intel can go the way of Microsoft. Microsoft went nowhere for so long after their long run and then they took off with the cloud. Will intel be the chipmaker to supply 5G or is it Micron and Nvdia or some other company? Thanks.

American Tower Corporation (REIT) (AMT $211.88)

Keysight Technologies Inc. (KEYS $166.87)
Q: It is my understanding that that 5G signals will require a different type of transmission installation, namely smaller and much more numerous for the shorter distances involved. The two companies often mentioned are AMD American Tower and CCI Crown Castle however only the latter is specific to 5G. Am I missing something here as I am looking to invest in 5G transmission but don't want to go off in the wrong direction.
Thanks

Q: I have owned BCE for many years and have been happy with the returns it has provided. I am wondering if there is a company(s) that you may recommend that will compliment this holding other than the other big names (Telus etc) that will take advantage of the roll out of 5G. I have also owned Apple for many years as hardware provider. It is my understanding that exciting towers will not be used for 5G? Perhaps a tower company or chip provider? any Ideas and your rational would be much appreciated. Thanks as usual for the great service you provide!
Q: Hi,
My current portfolio is invested in 8% communication services, 2% energy, 27% financials, 4% industrials, 3% technology, 1% materials 3% international funds, and 22% utilities. I rely on the portfolio for income so I am looking for some dividend/growth stocks. I have another 120K to invest and was wondering if you could provide me a couple CAN and US stocks to invest in.
Thanks,

Q: I bought qcom just after the settlement. @80.
How badly affected will it be with the huawai
Affair. Would u buy on this dip or perhaps consider selling. I am not sure how badly the revenue and earnings will be affected. Do u think this will disappear if trump & China come to an agreement or is 5G and the players going to be ongoing even with tariff wars stop..thank u for your insight.

QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM $158.01)
-
Bank of America Corporation (BAC $49.48)
-
Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ $44.44)
Q: I'm thinking of selling my postion in BAC. What would you suggest as a replacement, not just banking, decent dividend yield?
Q: After Qualcomm's settlement with Apple on licensing issues and the subsequent huge spike in price, would it be better to wait a while to let the stock settle down before purchasing, or do youthink this new price will form a baseline?
Q: I know the QCOM is a healthy company and is well positioned technologically .
With look at P/E and P/B , I am just wondering if it is time to sell and deploy the funds elsewhere. It has been a rocky HOLD, and I am finally in the black on the name .
Now I am down on NVDA ( who would have thought ) .
These names have not been kind to me ... I expect risk, but I understand that these are the best companies in their sectors ( or do you recommend others ? ). Thanks again ,

Q: The portfolio analysis tool shows that I'm under weight in tech stocks. Could you please recommend one US and one Canadian tech stock that pays a yield of 3-4 % and is growing that dividend as well.

Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD $114.77)

QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM $158.01)
-
Caterpillar Inc. (CAT $435.67)
-
Kohl's Corporation (KSS $13.89)
Q: Can you provide 2-3 US names that are mid-risk, pay >3% dividend, any sector, and currently priced for some future growth?
Q: Can I get your thoughts and preference between CSCO and QCOM?

Adobe Inc. (ADBE $362.09)

-
Roku Inc. (ROKU $94.22)
Q: I would like your opinion on these tech stocks for my tfsa. tech stocks were suggested by you in my last question - "For some growth, one could add tech names (US or Canadian), if applicable. We note that less than five years is still considered relatively short-term, so we would keep things on the lower risk profile in general."
if u could rank them, or suggest better ones to research that would be great.

NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA $177.99)

QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM $158.01)

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN $206.06)
Q: Hi there,
I inherited all 5 of these positions in my US portfolio and looking to reduce to 3. i am leaning to NVDA, AVGO and QCOM but I know very little about MCHP. I am also concerned about letting go of TXN given their role in converting analog to digital signals. YOur thoughts. I am looking for a balance of growth and a stable dividend.
Cheers

Q: Why do you think Qualcomm is in such a slide?
Would you consider this to be a buying opportunity

Q: There was a recent report on Qualcomm issued by a short seller that has hammered the stock. Two questions:
Why is it not illegal to short a stock and then issue a damaging report like this?
You have previously recommended QCOM in this space. Is there anything in the short report to change your view?
