Q: Hi Peter, "T" and "BCE" are getting hit again is there a particular reason for this and can this be an opportunity to add to existing positions as I hold both of these or can they fall further. Thanks, Nick
Q: Hi 5i,
Brookfield Renewable Energy (BEP.UN) has come off so is it a good time to enter? I am interested in maintaining it for the longer term.
Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter,
Any thoughts on BlackPearl's (PXX) decsion to defer their $350 million term loan for the Onion Lake thermal project due to the volatile debt markets? I see they had a positive announcement though on the Blackrod pilot production and cashflow. New 52 week low , looks like a good entry point perhaps? Thanks.

Q: Telus/BCE - are these over sold or does Verison present a real threat?
Q: Hello 5i Team,
On a question re: CLC you stated:
"CML is still paying one dividend. However it went ex-dividend yesterday, but anyone buying yesterday will get a $0.135 dividend."
My understanding of Ex-Dividend is different and found this online:
The ex-dividend date is the date on which investors are cut off from receiving a dividend. If, for example, an investor purchases a stock on the ex-dividend date, that investor will not receive the dividend. This date is two business days before the holder-of-record date.
Perhaps you can clarify?
Thanks,
Ron

Q: Hi 5i. I have a very basic investing question: If I sell everything now, when should I buy everything back?

Q: Cnd Telecom
Boy, this Canadian market is filled with minefields! Mostly skirted by 5i. Congrats. Speaking of blow-ups. How about those telcos? Time to buy? Is Verizon for real?

Q: CLC was sold at $10.75 a share. It is currently trading at less than that. If I simple hold on to my shares until the deal finalizes in September, will I receive the full $10.75 per share automatically?
Q: It looks like Paladin Energy is getting hit because of their delay in announcing their strategic initiative, which I assume was meant to help their balance sheet. Any thoughts? Could this company conceivably go bankrupt before the improvement in uranium prices?
Q: Hi team

Q: Hello team,
My question is regarding the acquisition of CLC and how could one ever benefit from this jump after the fact. As you know CLC closed at $7.20 on June 24 and opened at $10.60 on June 25, a whopping 47% increase.
I want to know how some retail investor like me could know about this takeover in advance? And even if I knew about this deal the night before the jump how I could have purchased it when it is already up by 47% at the open?
I also want to know how stocks can open so high before the trading day even start? And finally is there any point in buy CLC at this point?
As you can see I am a novice investor so please keep up the superb job. Thank you!

Q: A National Post article today indicated that rising interest rates would even impact a solid performer like CGX Cineplex. How high woud interest rates have to go to impact CGX , or this more market paranoia?
