Q: Prior to earning BKNG has gone up to $3900 a share and on earnings pulled back to around $3500. Is this a good entry point to add to my position or do you have any concerns about the stock for the next 2-3 years? Thanks in advance

Q: What are your thoughts on SGR.UN's recent earnings, during the call management indicated that their rents are well below market rates, which provides upside potential as those rents are renegotiated. The payout ratio is high, however, if rents can be increased the payout ratio would fall. Would you be fine holding it here, or is it time to move on to something with a safer dividend? If so what income stock would you recommend replacing it with?
Q: Thoughts on the Canadian Banking sector and specifically CIBC. Seems like the banks are fairly 'flexible' in what they choose to include in there Adjusted Earnings.
Generally Loan Loss provisions have increased? That would seem to suggest they seem storm clouds on the horizon -Mortgage debt renewal pulling money out of the economy is obvious headwind. Were they bailed out by strong capital markets?

Q: Hi!
Does CIX have what it takes to get to $20 and beyond?
What kind of market would you say we are we in? Sideways, up, or down?
Thank you!

Q: Hi All,
I have a really nice gain shorter term gain on LLY thanks to your recommendation of 125% which is down a little from the high.
Is LLY on the over valued side now and starting to correct? Should I sell it and move into another Healthcare name and if so I'd love a few recommendations. I already own a partial position in UNH and ABBV. I see UNH has dropped and may have some issues with the government should they be stayed away from for now? Thanks for your service.

Q: Shak and IOT have been recommended on US networks. How would you categorize them up against Trade Desk?
I was thinking back of when I joined 5i at the beginning because of being a mutual fund person and seeing the Sprott Growth Funds managed by Peter as being one of the top mutual funds. When I went to the Money Show I was talking to Peter and I was asking questions that now I would have never asked him due to the knowledge I have gained from 5i. I still ask difficult questions but some of the things I asked in those days are now not difficult for me due to the knowledge gained as a result of being a long member of 5i. Thanks so much.

Q: Hi 5i,
How do you feel about Aurinia, hey will be cashflow positive soon. Recently they announced a 150 million buy back with a 25% staff reduction. They are also ending a strategic review. Sales are ramping up looks like a timely buy with share price at a low. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Q: How good is Nvidia’s moat to its broader sales clientele, and to what degree could competition or demand fatigue place its top and bottom lines, and by virtue its multiples and stock price, at risk of slow down and potential downside?
Q: Hi Peter and 5iresearch
In my recent question about investing in basic materials I mentioned in my question XBM. In your response your comment was on XLB SPDR fund. Just want to be clear that you meant to recommend XLB SPDR fund and not XBM.
What do you think of XBM?
Thank you

Q: Good Day,
After your response to my last question, I have deliberating between CELH and CROX (one of your recommendations to expand my portfolio), as well as ELF (come up a lot Lately in the questions).
For your other recommendations of PSTG CRWD DDOG and PLTR, I do like their fundamentals AND their businesses. However, between what I hold already, and the business they're in, I'm worried that in a period when I'm focusing less on the markets, a major player in their space may offer a major, well polished, competitive product. For example, EMC, Hitachi, Oracle, etc could announce something that would slow/change the outlook on PSTG, and I could miss out on locking in some gains.
Also, I've noticed BDT is constantly hitting new highs. I've owned them here and there a few years back, but they've been killing it since then it appears.
So, with all that in mind, and the portfolio from my previous question, and the fact that CELH blew up yesterday (I got busy and didn't get to make my move when you responded earlier this week :( ). Which 2out of CELH, CROX, ELF, and BDT would you suggest? What inning in a baseball game would they be in their lifecycle, their risk, and growth potential, for each of these 4 options.
Thanks!! The last 6 weeks have been huge for me thanks to your help! Might have even shaved a year off my retirement age, so I'm incredibly happy with your service.

Q: What did you think of their earnings?
Q: Good quarter?
Q: If I understand things correctly the financial media has suggested that Japan may soon end their negative rate policy. If Japan starts increasing rates is this generally good for Japanese stock markets? They have already performed well the last year with basically no rate changes. Can you help explain the thinking behind rate movements and stock markets in Japan. I thought rising rates were generally not good for stock markets.
Q: A family member is 73 years old, Canadian, single, retired, and lives a very modest lifestyle. She has $100,000 from a recent inheritance with no other savings. I have been asked to assist with setting up an investment portfolio. Another family member has recommended she place some funds with a "MIC" which historically has a 7 % return; I think $20,000 could be allocated there. Then looking for a reasonable measure of security of capital, with a balance of some income and a bit of growth, my thought would be to divide the remaining $80,000 into the following: VDY; FTS; RY; SLF; BAM; CNQ; ALA; WSP; Amzn; and VGRO.
If you were me, would this seem like a reasonable approach?
Many thanks.

Q: I see there is a US law firm investigating the proposed takeover price for Tricon. They are looking for investors to talk to. Is this a usual occurrence?
What do you think about the US$11.25 per share valuation being offered?

Q: Hi,
Which of the two would deliver the most return and greatest likelihood of capital preservation?
Also, would you list three or four names that "due" for a rebound within a few weeks?
Thank you!
