Q: Hi Team,
My timing on buying PIH was not good and I'm down quite a bit and trying to decide what to do with it. I'd be very interested in your take on their 2nd quarter release and prospects for going forward - especially in the near term.
Thank you,
John

Q: Good morning my question concerns cxi which I hold but in a 1.6% position compared to your 4.12% but in that sector I am looking at adding gsy as an alternative and to give diversity simply because you have recommended it as one of the top ten holds in one of the last questions. my concern with cxi is the volatility that it has had over the last two years. is there also another stock in your universe that could also be added to bring the total to the 4.12% position but with two to three stocks instead of one...thanks for the great service
Q: The guidance is weaker, but two facts are keeping me from moving on: the dividend was raised 6%, but more important, the investment firm GMO LLC recently took a 6% stake in DHX Media. One would think that this firm did careful research before taking such a high stake. Do you recommending holding until the end of the year?
Q: My Question is on the Transalta preferred shares. I have the series C preferred shares that are paying me 6.8% and with reset this June expect the yield will be about 6.7%. I see that the company decided NOT to go ahead with the proposed exchange of the preferred shares last Friday. Is this a good or bad sign?
How risky do you view the Transalta preferred shares in terms of ability to pay dividends and viability long term of the company?
Please feel free to publish.

Q: I currently have half positions in these energy co.s & would like to move to full positions but am waiting on the uncertainty with the US to settle. It also appears that the OPEC production cuts are actually occurring to some extent but that they are only for a 6 month period. Given the US uncertainty & the OPEC situation I am wondering what the impacts might be on Cdn energy stocks & your thoughts on when to move to full positions, or whether the expiry of the OPEC agreement might be negative for Cdn energy? As always, thanks for your insights.
