Q: Comparing ETF's to mutual funds, the argument is that the higher MER is worth it in the mutual fund because the fund is managed. What are your thoughts on this topic?

BMO Covered Call Dow Jones Industrial Average Hedged to CAD ETF (ZWA $26.02)
-
Hamilton Enhanced U.S. Covered Call ETF (HYLD $13.67)
Q: I own ZWA.TO and it has drastically underperformed anything close to the benchmark dow. IYY, a Dow proxy listed in USD, is up 34% in past year while ZWA is up less than 10% on a price basis. Being a covered call ETF, yielding less than 6%, does not explain this huge %-point performance difference. Nor the fact that it is CAD-hedged. How can it be so poorly managed? What is going on with these BMO etfs? Can you recommend a broad CAD denominated global equity covered call ETF so I can replace ZWA?

Q: Hi,
My partner has some CAD and USD to invest in a TFSA starting now can you please recommend some ETFs that are CAD hedged and USD that would give diversified exposure and good potential for the next 3-5 years? Thinking Mid-cap ETFs may have room to grow. To balance the portfolio can you also recommend some bond funds as well. Thank you!

Q: How would you rank the following four companies at current valuations? Which ones would you be comfortable buying a full position in?
Q: What would be your 5 top picks for TFSA investing for 2025?
Q: Currently all my money market funds are in PSA which pays just over 4%.
It looks like ZUCM.U may be a US dollar alternative paying just over 5% .
It feels like a no brainer to move all my PSA into ZUCM.U but I would like your opinion.

Q: Nvidia has been a ten bagger for me and I’m obviously ecstatic with this momentum. I’ve trimmed with my original stake at just under 100.00. It’s about ten percent of my portfolio. I know you don’t advise on individual portfolios but might it be wise to trim more and diversify further within the sector with Oracle! I also own Vertiv Holdings. Thanks. Your support and knowledge have been tremendously helpful over the years.
Q: TSM has slightly more than doubled in the last year. Can you please comment on its current price versus fundamentals and your outlook going forward. Thank you.
Q: how is this company doing some interesting tech do they have any competition thank you
Q: Interested in your thoughts .... PIMCO DYNAMIC INCOME FUND (PDI). I've held it for almost 3 years now ...down about 20% on my original purchase price of $ 23.40. I know this is income focused so I've probably made a few dollars (I estimate I've made about $ 8.00 a share in dividends over 3 years .and I'm down about $5.00 per share on my cost). Does this have any chance for recovery to $ 21.00 or $ 22.00 this year. Or do I simply move on and look for something more attractive ... if so, any suggestions on something in USD paying at least a 6% dividend ...stock or ETF.
