Q: All five are poised for future growth via acquisitions and organic growth. I don't have a position in any. How would you rank them if you had new money to put to work for buy and hold for next 5 years for the growth part of my portfolio.

Q: Hi team,
You get many questions regarding resource companies, and it seems to me like a lot of subscribers, myself included, would probably get a lot of value from a 5i model resource portfolio. I realize the model portfolios already contain some resource companies, but would 5i ever consider creating its purely resource portfolio?

Q: Hi 5i,

After months of negotiating, the federal government and Air Canada announced a deal on Monday that allows the airline to access $5.4 billion in loans while Ottawa takes a $500 million stake in shares at $23.1793, a discount compared to Air Canada's closing price today. If I don't have any Air Canada, should I still buy some? What attractive price should be consider. Please kindly advise the deal, coming target price and any suggestion. Do you consider buy or hold?

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Usually when a government bails out a company (Feds will own ~6%), it does not bode well for the said companies future. I know these are unique circumstances. Are you still comfortable with buying Air Canada? Or will AC go the way of bombardier (Zombie stock).

Have you heard if other airlines in Canada will be helped?

Q: Have you a list of "companies that can grow their dividends better. " rather than company's like Rogers Sugar Inc? I keep an eye on your Dividend Updates and I saw this answer and am curious.

Q: Hi group just sold this stock (HMMJ) this am based on to many Canadian companies that are losing $ Should I buy a US based ETF to take better advantage of the US opening up on legalizing the product or just stay on the sidelines for now - what do you think ? buy some individuals or a US ETF or do not invest in the sector at all ? - Thanks for your help on this

Q: Hello Peter & Team,

I last asked about ASG 3rd week Feb. You cautioned me and rightfully so. I took a small position @ $0.24 based on some research being more than aware of the risk. It went up to over $1.00 and has since settled at $0.84. But now there's something strange going on.

When I look up a quote for the stock it only shows April 8th close. Nothing more recent. MSN Money, Yahoo, even my QTrade acct quotes is as of April 8 @ 3:52pm $0.84.

Thoughts?

Q: hi there - recognising you are not tax experts i will ask anyways so if members can point me in the right direction. I received a 1099 form from CIBC but it doesn't specifiy which securities it covers. I am trying to confirm if these dividends are also covered on the T3 or is this separate?

Q: Considering the new partnership/investment/bailout with the Government of Canada, How do you see this playing out ?
- I noticed Air Canada stock held up fairly well, considering the Government did the deal at a discount to current stock price.
- It looks like some smart advisers/consultants did the deal, however I am surprised that the stock did not drop more today...
- How the market interprets things these days is a bit confusing to me...
Good thing Vegas is opening up more..., because I want to bet Red on the Roulette wheel as a potential proxy for Air Canada at this point...
