Q: I plan to buy a REIT by the end of 2021 to balance out one of my portfolios (RRSP). Looking to hold up to 25 years. Can you recommend a REIT that will pay a descent dividend and possible grow over a long period of time?

Q: Hi,
Can you tell me what type of account is generally best to hold US REITs, from a tax perspective?
I hold these 4 Canadian REITs (TCN, WIR.U, DIR.UN, SMU.UN) and am interested in several US REITS. I've been considering AMT, CCI, EQIX, DLR. Can you comment on these and suggest a few others.

Q: In my TFSA I am looking to move it to a more growth oriented stance. In keeping with this I have added ENGH and LSPD already. In what order would you sell the above (other than LSPD and ENGH)? I could sell off whole positions or just reduce the holdings either is fine. Any reasoning behind the ranking would be useful too.

Q: I recently submitted a question about possibly under-levered reits, and was surprised to receive an answer about "cheap" reits. To my mind these are quite different concepts.

Q: In the past you have mentioned you felt the dividend is vulnerable, wondering if anything has changed or do you still feel this way? Could you list a few Canadian REITS you would feel more comfortable with yielding above 5%?

Thanks

Q: Hi Guys
In regard to Tricon obviously most of the homes they bought in the USA after the 2008 crisis have gone up significantly in value. On Tricon's balance sheet would the original cost be reflected or what they are now all worth? Just trying to get an idea of possible upside in terms of book value. Also in regard to Tricon it seems over the years management have bumped around a bit in terms of what the company focuses on in terms of real estate investments. Do you think going forward they have found a focus that should deliver results? Also in comparison to the Industrial REIT's, like Dream or Summit, how would you rate Tricon - better or worse value and upside?

Thanks so much
Stuart

Q: I am thinking of trimming a bit from BEP(up 300% with ROC) and adding to my positions of DIR.UN and DIV. I am retired and looking to increase my monthly dividend payout companies. Currently BEP is around 4% of portfolio, DIV is 4% and DIR is 2.3%. Is this a sound move or do you think there is a better option with another monthly dividend payout company.

Q: Would appreciate it very much ranking the above based on your expectation of total return over 3 to 5 years period. I wish to consolidate these number into less positions. In particular I am thinking of selling FCR at a loss and perhaps add to GRT.un or one of the others,

Thanks
