Q: H&R REIT has been weak for a few days (since Dream Office REIT reported). Do you think there is some rotation from H&R in to Dream Office? Does this switch make sense? At the current valuation H&R seems to be getting a lot more interesting. Any thoughts please?
Do you think it would be wise to average down on Phm at this level? I'm not in at the highs it once was but still thinking of averaging down and wondering if i should. Also is there anything else behind why it's performing like it is and being stagnant at the 52 week low? I mean besides the regular issues that the company has been trying to shake off? Thanks for your help.
Q: Just a comment. Their last financials list NET Intangibles & Goodwill at close to 29bn. Is this at all realistic in view of the huge amount of damage to their name as well as the actual value of the Company today. Forecasts by 2 US funds estimate current value at between $65 - 70/ per share.
Q: I have a question about stock quotes in general using TNC as an example. I often see quotes and %gains/losses that don't seem to make sense. As an example, if I look at quotes for TNC this morning across a variety of platforms, I see a price of $1.86 for a gain of 3.91%. If you look at the numbers however, it opened at $1.85 for a 0.01 gain - but this would only be 0.5% gain, nowhere near 3.91%
Just checking again now, the quote is $1.83, which should be a two cent loss, or 1.08% loss, but it's showing a gain of 2.23% on the day. What's going on?
Q: My question relates to the effect of lower interest rates. There seems to be a considerable discussion to the issue of negative interest rates. In a scenario that the BOC decided to lower interest rates to 0 (let alone negative) what would be the effect on CBO. Currently the NAV of CBO is 19.12 and the yield is 3% ish. If the BOC reduces rates to 0, what in your estimation does NAV become and what does the yield become. I don't need a long explanation but rather the 2 numbers. Great service and keep up the good work.
Q: Good Afternoon, CSU finished the day at $535.21. The 52 week
high is $598.00. Do you see it getting back up to the $600.00 area any time soon? Thanks John

Q: I own the above and am in a no loss no gain position. With the current problems surrounding the stock, should I consider selling and buying Google instead. Thank you.
Q: Morning, I am thinking of adding one of the three stocks (NFI, SIS, ITP) to an existing portfolio. Long term hold with the best combination between growth and dividend. Would you please
give your thoughts on the best pick of the three. Thanks, Lavern
Q: Would like to know your thoughts on Liq. Is the dividend at risk and can you explain the constant decline in value. I would like to enter a small position for the div. interest. Thanks you.
Q: Good afternoon,
Do you regard the announcement of an entry into a letter of intent with the Quebec Government as a material development for the company?
Thank you for your assistance.

Q: Hi Peter & team. The company suspended the dividend on the common shares. These preferred CF.PR.A are to reset in September 2016. The formula for the reset rate is 321bp + GoC 5year-bond. Assuming the latter at 0.40% (is this a reasonable figure?), the yield at reset, based on the current share price, will be just over 10% (am I right?). I am wondering whether this represents good value and an opportunity for income. How would you assess the risk that the dividend be also suspended on the preferred? What are the general rules in that regard? Thanks for your excellent service.
