Q: Do you have any idea why key era went up almost 3% today? I know the earnings report was due after the market closed, but I didn't see anything special about the report. What did you think of the earnings report and the market move today?
Q: WHATS THE MATTER WITH TOU THIS YEAR?CANT GET OUT OF THE STARTING GATE
DOESNT MATTER IF OIL AND GAS GO UP OR DOWN TOU SEEMS TO GO DOWN

Q: Hello and thank you for your great service. What can you tell me about ITP - Intertape Polymer Group? The long term trend has been positive; however, it seems for every 2 steps forward, there is always 1 step back. Is this company a favourite with day traders? I have been holding long term, so not a great concern; I'm just curious as to why there always seems to be a pull back.
Q: Can you please give me your top 3-4 industrial stock picks. Looking at adding some diversity to my holdings, 5% industrial. Don't have any industrial picks other than what is held in ZDV. Moreover, if I hold physical gold and silver would this be considered material sector allocation?
Q: FCU used to be "liked" by you some time ago (couple of years) when it was around 1.90$. It went down from there to below 0.50. Recently however the stock has been rising, gaining 40% since beginning of 2017. I wonder why, when there is so much talk about deregulation of energy industry especially oil, gas, and coal which are far safer than nuclear. Where is the demand for uraniaum and specifically FCU coming from? Is it just sentiment (markets are rising) or this rise is based on significantly improved fundamentals or is it because of positive outlook? Do you think the momentum would continue and if so is it prudent to add to a very small position here?
Q: There seems to be a consensus that the USA will raise interest rates 2-3 times this year. Also the negative effect it will have on telcos, utilities, reits etc.It doesn't necessarily mean Canada will follow lockstep on these moves but the negative effects are still mentioned.Could you comment .
Q: I looked at a summary of the their business activities and it seems to be principally with professional managers wherein the new disclosure rules will not be an issue. Do you have any information on how much of their income is derived from services to retail clients or others where the disclosure rules would be a factor?
Q: Do you see Sandvine as a potential takeover target? I've stuck with them because they seem to be in a business with good growth prospects, but I'm losing patience. Thinking of moving on.
Thanks.
Q: I own these 2 stocks in my RRSP. Both got clobbered due to their concentration in Alberta, and both eliminated their dividends. Is there any realistic hope of recovery or should I cut and run?
Q: Hi Gang.. For a swing or position trader in a winning trade and where the stock is now rising parabolically what’s the best way to exit the trade to optimize one’s gain ? Is it scaling out or selling all at once ? If scaling out then what is the best scaling method and if selling all then what’s the best method for determining the exit point ?
Q: My question is regarding the effect of (1) an increase in capital gains tax (2) an increase in taxes on dividends, by our new government. If the first happens, wouldn't money leave higher growth TSX stocks? I am not suggesting that an "exodus" would happen, but certainly a percentage of the holders would reconsider the validity of putting their cash at risk if the government retains (let's say) 25% more tax for the capital gains no? Now, if the second happens, wouldn't 3-4% dividend stocks attract less buyers? Why own a dividend stock with little growth if the government taxes it almost the same as income (for higher income brackets it would be the case)? Other members who are friends of mine have the same question. A blog about this would be awesome. Thank you!
