Q: The company is proposing a Capital Reduction in order to be able to maintain the current .09 quarterly dividend, of $100 million.Canada Business Corp Act states a corp shall not declare or pay a div " if there are reasonable grounds for believing that the realisable value of the corp's assets would thereby be less than the aggregate of its liabilities & stated capital"
In layman's language, can you explain what Rogers is proposing here, where the $100 M will be going and if you feel, as the company states, this is a positive move for shareholders?

Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter, Can we request to please include top 5 buys in each portfolio along with monthly portfolio reports. This will help us in directing new money.
Also, do you think there is strong case of putting new money into stocks within coverage summary that have high ratings but has dropped over last 12 months . Like ABT, BOS, ENGH etc. Since they have a good rating ( B or over ) are these good candidates for rebound or would rating may be slashing once the review comes up.Thanks

Q: Happy New Year 5i team,
In an answer to a member's question regarding stocks for the Materials sector, you mentioned SJ, AEM and MX. How about a stock in Metals? Would ZMT do?
Thanks,
Antoine

Q: A recent Seeking Alpha post argued that Peyto's hedges would prevent it from cashing-in on the natgas recovery. This isn't to say that Peyto didn't make the right call in writing the hedges; just that it's now growth-constrained. Under these circumstances, have other natgas plays become more attractive than PEY?
Q: Regarding your answer provided to Carla today on CVD and CPD, I understand your comments on CVD, but I am still not clear on how rising interest rates can impact CPD. How do rising interest rates affect a preferred share ETF such as CPD? Should I be cautious about buying at this time? Thanks for all the awesome info you provide.
Q: Whats going on with savaria it just keeps going down.
Q: Could you give me your opinion on the advantages (if anything) of the company called INVESTOR VEST. They advertise just about every day on TV it seems to be too easy.

Q: Ryan and Peter. Best of the new year to you and the rest of the 5i team. Thanks to Ryan for his article about re-balancing portfolios. I agree that health care is the sector that provides some value. I have some exposure to Canadian health care but would like to buy some exposure to specific American health care companies. If possible, could you suggest a few companies that offer some growth in 2017 and provide a bit of a dividend? Thanks in advance for your appreciated guidance.
Q: Last year you mentioned that a 60% growth was expected in 2017 for ACQ. Does that still hold?
Q: Hello, above are the list of us securities i hold. Can you give me your top 5 US conviction names, mid to large cap, preferably not financials as I am already overweight this sector. Your choices do not have to be sector specific. Thank you!

Q: Hi 5i team, what is growth referred to ? Does it eventually reflected in the earning and then the price ? Any correlation ?
