Q: I am growing increasingly impatient with GIB.A, PKI, and RTX. I am considering replacing each of these with the company I have indicated after them. What are your thoughts? OR should I temper my impatience?
Much appreciated as always. ram

Q: I recently read that in 2009, the US accounted for 30% of world market cap. Today, that figure is about 55%.

In terms of portfolio allocations, I am trying to decide how best to do my geographic allocations for the next 10 years. My guess is that the main geographic regions (Canada, US, Developed International, Emerging Markets) trend over longer timeframes towards a norm, and the US is now overweight based on long-term historicals. However, I do not know where to find the data to test this hypothesis.

Do you have any data, starting after WWII, which show the relative geographic market cap weightings? Do the relative weights of the geographic regions revert to a norm over time? Which geographic regions are currently under and overweight based on historicals?

Thank you for your valued insights.

Q: I am just getting started in DIY investing and have been introduced to 5i by family members who have had great success. I am looking for five-ten really solid Canadian dividend paying stocks to form the core of a balanced portfolio. In my TFSA, I have BCE, TD, ENB, BNS, SLF. Should I be looking elsewhere? Thank you!

Q: Good Morning
I’m in the process of some year end house cleaning with the idea to reduce the number of holdings and adding some more upside potential. Considering selling partial positions in GUD and ATA and with the proceeds topping up two of either TRI,ECN TFII or AD. Would you firstly endorse the sells and which two would top up at this time.
Thank you for your continued guidance and support.

Q: There is one thing I don't understand. GUD bought Biotoscana one year ago I believe for almost $200M. The stock ran up 20% on that announcement to nearly $9 and now it is $5.50's. The thing I do not understand is didn't that acquisition do anything for the top or bottom line and hence give a positive light on the stock? You have said the last few months that investors are bored and waiting for an acquisition.
Isn't Biotoscana the acquisition? Thanks
