Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.
Q: Since TNT.UN 's slice on its dividend and subsequent plunge- how would sot.un and btb.un stand now ? Makes one apprehensive especially the office reits.
Q: Share price at $7.29 per share. Interested in purchasing at this price? At what price do they stop paying the dividend based on the present value of the shares. Your opinion on purchasing at this time with the current banking crisis. cheers kenneth
Q: What are your thoughts on Simon Property Group? The dividend looks attractive but not sure about its growth prospects, especially with respect to shopping malls & eroding foot traffic with online options.
Q: Insiders have been purchasing large amounts of stock in the past week. They do have positive income and pay a dividend, but are carrying debt as well. Can I get your perception on this company? Would you consider this a buyable stock?

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Could you please comment on NWPX's earnings and guidance, which caused the stock price to drop 15% today. Would you consider it a buy, hold, or sell, for the next 3+ years? Could you please suggest some better growth and safer alternatives in this space.
Thanks!

Q: Hi - for the above companies, how would you expect them to perform in a recession? Do you expect them to have positive alpha? If not these, could you list a few companies that you would be inclined to buy heading into a recession? (ignoring factors like diversification, personal risk etc etc.).
Q: Own this stock and am down 6%. Think it still pays about 8%. Would you keep it or trade for a better option? Would you own it? If not what would you hold instead?
Thanks

Q: AS A RETIRED AND CONSERVATIVE INCOME INVESTOR I AM CONSIDERING THE PURCHASE OF ZWB IN A TFSA AND WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR OPINION DETAILING THE PROS AND CONS OF SUCH AN INVESTMENT AT THIS TIME.
1.I NOTE IT IS DOWN ABOUT 20% THIS PAST YEAR WITH A PRESENT YIELD OF ABOUT 7/12 PERCENT, IS THIS YIELD NET OF TRADING AND MANAGEMENT FEES?
2.DOES THE ETF WRITE COVERED CALLS ON THE ENTIRE PORTFOLIO?
3.GIVEN THE RECENT DECLINE IN THE BANK SHARES AND THE MARKET IN GENERAL AND WITH A 5YEAR TIME HORIZON, WOULD YOU AGREE THERE IS MINIMAL DOWNSIDE RISK, OTHER THAN GENERAL MARKET RISK,AND
4.WHAT TYPE OF MARKET AND ECONOMIC CONDITIONS LEADS TO AN INCREASE OR DECREASE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ETF.
THANKS BRIAN

Q: Chart is certainly upwards to the right after earnings.
Anything else powering this forward other than upgrades and earnings.
Although that surely is enough.

Q: PXMD By 11:00 today it has traded almost 12 million shares which is the total shares outstanding. There is no news release. Something similar happened with this company not so long ago. Shouldn't regulators care about this. Atleast a halt.
Q: So, this is quite a mess we find ourselves in. However, we will eventually come out of it. I'm curious, where do you think the best money will be made going forward? Which 3 or 4 sectors do you think might lead us out of the situaltion and what is the absolute best company, on most all metrics, in each of the sectors. I'm open to etiher Canadian or global companies. Thanks for your opinion.
Q: hello 5i:
recently, I asked a question about LIFE; thanks for the quick response. In hindsight, what I should have asked might have been: which covered call ETF, in the health care space, provides the best dividend rate, with the lowest return of capital. As we're dealing in registered accounts, return of capital is not of interest to me.
thanks

Q: Hi Team,
I saw the news out of the company this am and did some digging and found this:
https://asantegold.com/asante-gold-announces-results-of-annual-and-special-general-meeting-of-shareholders/
What do you make of this? I don't pay a whole lot of attention to these voting reaults. Is it abnormal/concerning to see so many close to 50-50 in votes?

Q: Historically, have utilities not performed well in times with higher inflation?
Q: My broker recommends that I put a rather large amount on that note:
BNS Canadian Banks (AR) Index Callable Contingent $9.60 Coupon Notes Series 393F (CAD)
or
https://www.gbm.scotiabank.com/en/services/investor-solutions/current-issues/detail.en.54849.PAR.html
I read the prospectus but I am not sure of the level of risk.
I am retired and turning on 70.
I would like your opinion.
Regards.

Q: Tony Dwyer of Canacord Genuity talks about holding more cash now, being defensive and being ready to invest in early cycle sectors "when we come out of this later in the first half" of this year. Which sectors historically are early cycle sectors and secondly among those that are how have each performed relative to other such sectors when markets have rebounded in the past?
