Q: What is you considered observation on Peekaboo Beans 'BEAN' on CSE. This company has a rather interesting marketing style a la 'party' type sale of kids clothing. The context and dynamic approach to sales along with the very focussed founder, president and CEO, Traci Costa. The numbers $ are growing and there seems to be forward motion and depth. Also what is the significance good or bad, on the switch from the Venture to CSE listing. As an aside observation, the CSE seems to be growing in listings and has an increasing IPO issue output. All in all, your in depth opinion please...

Q: Trudeau's Canada is dead for business. No Pipelines, he wants to wean off Tar Sands, farmers can't get grain to markets Railways too busy hauling Oil, major international Oil Companies have left Canada, Why would any International Company want to expand into Canada ?, Uncertainty towards NAFTA is overhang to stock markets. Do we have to wait for Conservatives to come to power for our Stock Markets to improve. I guess the alternative is to be fully invested in the USA , Frustrated Investor RAK.

Q: A portion of my portfolio is cash and invested in an investment account with my discount brokerage. Current rate is just shy of 1.00%. Seems too low when I compare to various 1 year GIC now at 2.00% or more.

Would you know a better alternative within a discount brokerage account. I would appreciate members comments as well. I will add the topic in the forum. Thank you.

Q: Follow up questions:
Thank you for your answer.
Are the expectations of 6 to 10 cents provided by the company or are you doing your own calculation to get this number ?
Also, as a business scale and grow, do you try to estimate future margin and profit (say 3 years out) or is it a futile exercise given that there are so many variables...
I am trying to get better at assessing companies like Reliq. I usually pass on them as they always seem too risky for me and 1-product company most times.
Any advise or general comment would help. Thank you
Pierre

Q: Can you explain a leveraged ETF? If it is a leveraged Dow ETF, Does it hold the 30 DOW companies? or is it doing something different. I see some that attempt to achieve 2x or 3x the Dow Jones Industrial average. From a risk perspective, is it safe to say the at the would come with 2x or 3x the risk as well?

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan,

I bought TSGI at 40 in my RESP account and it is down 20%. I was thinking of buying at current price of about 32 in my TFSA account. However, Scotiaitrade research team rating on TSGI is HOLD (Thomson Reuters, Valueengine). I would appreciate your opinion in terms of should I wait for some good news before I add more money into this stock.

Thanks

Q: I see no one has asked a question about WTER.V or WTER on U.S. market that produces alkaline water. After reading an article about them, on the surface it looks like they have a great future ahead for them. What do think after you have had a chance to analyze this stock? Thanks.

Q: With all the hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, droughts, etc, etc ,etc. How can insurance companies profit? The Canadian Gov't is taxing everyone to death and there is only so much money left over for average people to carry coverage so something has to give and on top wages are not going up for these people.
I would like your take ion insurance with these obvious conditions.

Thanks, James
