Q: I hold BIPC:US in my TFSA (TD-Waterhouse; US$ brokerage account). I am confused as to what dividend I can expect on Sep 30; the company website appears to indicate it will be US$0.485/share; however, the BIPC "profile"—as per the 5i website—indicates upcoming dividend of CA$0.6325. I’m not sure what to expect (of course, I am hoping dividend is paid in US$, otherwise I’ll need to later move the shares to the Canadian dollar side of the brokerage account, to avoid unnecessary currency exchange costs).

Q: Hello Peter, Ryan and Team,
If you were to use the beating the tsx strategy using the dogs, which 10 would you choose today. Please no energy companies.
I got a service error so sorry if this is submitted twice.
Q: You said before Eric Sprott has the golden touch.
What are the odds the above 2 will work out ?
If they do, how long would it take and where do you think the price may be say one year from now. Also which one has more potential in your view ?
Q: Purely a speculative question but what do you think are the odds of SE getting the digital banking license? I like the company and started a position and see the banking license as a nice growth driver if they are awarded one.
Q: Your detail quote shows earnings of 21.50, but looking at their earning announcements on tdw it is not even close.
Did they sell an asset that gave them this one time earning.
Your thoughts on this company in the past shows a less then stellar impression yet the year low is 127 and closed yesterday at 328.
How does 5i. see it for a 2 yr or more hold.
Btw - a professional in the field I know thinks their scanner and products are second to none.
Thanks
Q: Would like your thoughts on this company,is their value here at this price,do you think the worst is over and is their a chance for a decent bounce off these lows thank you
Q: Hello, I would like to know about the Snowflake ipo and what are your thoughts. The fact that Berkshire and Salesforce are investing big on this makes it look very attractive. Between Snowflake and Palantir what would be your preference? Are they considered to be in the same sector? Thank you!
Q: Could you please comment on their recent financing. One of their Intended use of financing funds seemed to be to repurchase their own shares? Selling shares to buy their own shares doesn’t seem to make sense unless they had plan to Drive the share Price down.
Do you think they are planning a big buy Or a series of acquisitions like their Sister company Phm.
What is your going forward perspective on vmd. They seem to be in an ideal market area (ventilators) and able or pull in funds very cheaply and their shares seem to have consolidated. Thank you for the great unbiased advice you provide us diy investors.
Q: Have risks regarding the takeover increased lately, what concerns need to be watched? As a shareholder what action do you advise at this time? Same question on both of these companies.
Q: Good day, 5i According to my information, Suncor has a -43% payout ratio for their dividend. Is this accurate, and what do you think of the chance of a dividend cut? Thank you in advance.
Q: Someone asked about a basic book on investing. A clear explanation of how investing works and how to understand various ratios etc. Is a small book by jason Kelly, called , "The Neatest Little Guide To Stock Market Investing". It is not Buffer or Dodds, but he does give a brief description of their styles, but i think it is quite useful. It is maybe fifteen years old and has had various editions. I know there is a free pdf version available on the web. I didn't post it because i don't know the legality of it. I think it is probably an earlier version that is now out of print. But i don't think the version matters that much. It is just basic information
Q: Good afternoon 5I.
Today Chris had a question regarding where to put his money from his home sale. You guy suggested a one year GIC that's paying 2.15 %.
My question is who is offering this GIC?
My patience is finally paying off for holding Pivot given today's announced takeover offer @ $2.60/share. In your opinion, any chance of a competing bid ? Any recommendations for a dividend paying tech stock to replace PTG in portfolio.
Q: If you own 10 stocks in a Margin Account, and 1/2 have huge Gains with the other 1/2 having Small Losses, WHICH would you sell first to satisfy the Margin Call?
Q: Hi 5i - what does the Lightspeed US IPO mean for current shareholders? The stock is trading down following the announcement today. Appreciate your perspective on this announcement. Thanks
