Q: Hello Peter,
When a sector is up, and some stocks in that sector are down, is that a cause for concern or just a day to day event? I am looking at gold , and the sector is surging whereas Karora and Novo Resources are trending downward.. Is it still a good time to buy into those? Also, what do you think of alamos gold at this levels of $15 plus.. thanks very much.
Q: It seems you are quite bullish on this mid-cap gold producer. Is this because Eric Sprott has made an investment or are the fundamentals good as well? I can never quite understand gold producers and how they compare to each other.
Can you comment on the transaction today to sell its take in a nickel mine? Also, is the share consolidation the same as a reverse-split?
Q: Over the past few days, MMX has not appeared to have been among your recommendations in the gold sector. I was just wondering if that was a simple oversight or if something material had changed that has shifted your view of the company.
Q: I have been following this stock and some where I read the gold is going to be hard to recover because it is dirty gold , what is meant by this . Also what is your opinion of this stock.
Q: This is a comment and a question. The comment is that something very significant happened in the silver investing world on July 20, and that is that silver finally broke out of a six year bear market. This breakout was confirmed today. The silver miners are responding and this could be quite exciting.
My question is about Alexco. They have a deal with Wheaton whereby they give up 25% of their Keno Hill production and will get nothing in return if silver goes above $25 ( I believe that this deal was modified recently). In your opinion is the Wheaton deal going to be a major problem for Alexco going forward? Thanks, David
Q: In the question asked by James on gold and silver you mention DBC but I can’t find any information on this and CEF was the symbol in the heading. Is it DBC or should it be a different Stock/ ETF ?
Q: What is historic silver price to gold ratio.last 10 years.? Where is it now ? Is silver a buy ? What are Industrial uses of Silver besides jewelry /What are your silver picks. SVM did well last week. RAK
Q: Ng looks interesting to me. Was wondering if you had info on insider ownership and how it might reflect on how good a stock it would be to purchase.
Q: Hi Group thing of moving from 8% exposure in gold and silver to 20%- is this low medium or high risk considering the mess the word is presently in?
Second question I presently own following
- AEM - Up 19%
- GLD - Up 10%
- GDXJ - up 40%
- WDO- Up 7% (jut bought last week on your recommendation)
- FNV - Up 10%
Thinking of selling GLD and replacing with AGI + KL also want to buy some silver stock leaning towards FVI + PAAS + USA. Your comments please
Q: I’m interested in purchasing a silver stock to add to my three gold stocks. I would be interested in your top three choices if you could list them in order of preference and why they would be good company to own.
Thanks John
Q: Good morning, I hold ASR, AEM and BTO. I am looking to add one more gold name. Also, would you keep ASR as it transitions into SSR? Please provide me your top two mid-cap gold names.
Rob
Q: I assume that the share price fall has resulted from the short seller claims, and that the law suits could go against the short seller if those allegations are false. I further assume that the short sell attack is opportunistic rather than a valid critique of the company. But
I do not know the project history. Do you know if there is substantial validity to the short seller claims, or if there are substantial impediments to the projects success?
Q: We have ~8% gold in FNV.to, ZJG.to, K.to, & WDO.to (from biggest to lowest weighting) and would like to add 1 more holding. Ross Healy had AGI as a top pick Friday. Would you add this or another ? Thank you.
