Q: Hi,

I'm a medium risk investor who needs more world exposure.

1) Can you recommend two CDN and two US ETfs focusing on Europe for the next few years.
2)1) Can you recommend two CDN and two US ETfs focusing on Asia?China for the next few years.
3) If you had to bet on whether Europe or Asia has the advantage in growth and stability for the next few years, which would it be?

Q: Hello

I am considering investing with a robo advisor, Invisor.ca. They are certainly not WealthSimple in terms of size or AUM, but they offer portfolio choices that suit my needs.

My investments will be held at a third party custodian, Fidelity Clearing Canada and I am told that there is CIPF insurance in place.

My questions are as follows:

1) Is the CIPF insurance coverage upto $ 1 million?
2) Does the $1 million CIPF insurance cover all my accounts aggregated together i.e. RRSP,+TFSA+ non-registered etc. or is a it $1 million per each account?
3) Who is the investment dealer in this situation - Invisor or Fidelity?
4) In the event of investment dealer insolvency, how long would it typically take for my funds or holdings to be restored to me?
5) Would 100% of my investment be restored to me in the event of investment dealer insolvency, as long as I have up to $ 1 million with them?

Q: good day thanks for the great service....we have taken profits for the year and moved those to the u.s. side of our accts...we are retired and this amount is approx. 10% of our portfolio...we do not have any bond exposure nor fixed income of any kind and thought we may invest in a vanguard u.s. bond etf...does this make sense to you or can you suggest any other instrument that would secure these profits for future income...we are currently sitting on two years of income on the Canadian side of our accts...thanks for your input and sage advise..gene

I am looking to put large lump of some money to work in a dividend growth portfolio in about a week from now. I would like 10 dividend growth stocks ranked in order companies strength, ability to grow dividends and safety of dividend. Please note I am already overweighted in RY..

Q: Hi Peter,

Kudos to you and Ryan and team for the great upgrades to the website.
It looks like tax-loss selling this year could present some interesting opportunities, especially in certain resource sectors like precious metals and natural gas that have been beaten down. I have been compiling my own buy list but would be interested in seeing what yours looks like.
Please provide three names in each of the following sectors that you would look at during the next few weeks of TLS: [1] precious metals, [2] energy, [3] general canadian small to mid cap.
Also can you comment on the period of tax-loss selling and how consistent this is year to year?)
