Q: Hi 5i, do you know why TMX web site charting has changed, what is the designation of "APH" (ex.BCE:aph). Is it temporary? As well, the last date to buy additional time in 5i and the price. I would also appreciate your suggestion of 2-3 min. rate reset preferred, perhaps a web site to find or research . Many thanks, J.A.P. Burlington

Q: Currently I own the shares of RUF.UN, recently its share price fell due to the Hurricane Harvey which hit Texas, where most of the RUF.UN's real estate properties are. Since this is a one time catastrophic event do you recommend that I increase my position in this company. I see this company as a good bond proxy (dividend yield is approx 6.00%) with little volatility. The purpose of my investment is "income" and moderate price appreciation. Do you agree with my reasoning or do you suggest another company?
Q: Please give me your opinion of petmed express. Are fundamentals solid? What do you think of the sector ( animal care). And would you endorse a buy today? If so, 1/2 or full position.

Q: I'm not sure I understand LFE and how it operates. Can you explain the business.
Q: Good morning,
Been looking at a weekly report at RBC on this industry and read this morning that payments world wide where 85% cash and cheque 10 years ago. Today 83% cash and cheque they estimate 7T$ opportunity for growth!?
There is a long list of players sharing the business.
What is your take on it and could you provide 2 of your favorites (each)in the US and Canada.
Thanks again for making your special skills available thru this channel.

What are your thoughts on Blackrock for a long term hold in a RRSP and if you could give your reasons as to why that would be appreciated.
Thanks

Q: Hi team,
The recently released Nintendo Switch has done very well and has a lineup of AAA titles in the development pipeline for release over the next 18 months. The modular design of the hardware itself suggests to me Nintendo might be pursuing an upgrade cycle similar to iPhone where consumers do not need to repurchase accessories with each new release. Please give me your thoughts on this and your general prospects for Nintendo. Thanks. IS.

Q: Hi team,
I saw your comments on the IEFA iShares ETF and was wondering if the geographical allocation of XIN is similar to IEFA? Would 5i recommend it as a suitable alternative? What benefits/drawbacks are there with regards to currency between the XIN and IEFA? Thanks. IS.

Q: Occasionally you receive questions asking your thoughts on stock evaluation software. I am wondering if you have any thoughts on the stock analyzing software that VectorVest offers. At Toronto’s September Money Show VectorVest’s presentation drew a lot of interest. Thanks … Cal

BMO MSCI India Selection Equity Index ETF (ZID)

Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: MRE has increased from 5% to 10% of my portfolio due to the recent price rally. How would you handle a rising stock? Would you let it rise and put a stop loss in oplace or would you sell of 50% of the holding? I have a tendency to sell my winners too early.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Q: Hi Peter,
The recent drop in value for KXS is somewhat perplexing if this is solely attributed to the loss of one customer. We don't own the stock today but it is next on our list to purchase 1/2 to a full position. Do you recommend waiting for another few days or longer to purchase or would you purchase KXS now while it is exhibiting weakness?
Thank you for your advice
Debbie and Jerry

Q: If the US dollar loses its status as reserve currency, could the US economy slip into a pattern similar to what we witnessed in Japan in the 90's? Is stagflation a possible outcome? Your work is greatly appreciated. Gaston

Q: Have held both KEY & PPL for 5+ years & enjoyed substantial gains & excellent dividends from both. However, major changes have taken place in this sector and I have decided to move on. In our principal Cash acct we hold KWH.UN, DRG.UN, WSP, PKI, LNR, RY, WPK, SIS, & CHW - all dividend paying. Would appreciate your suggestions for 2 or 3 CDN. replacements. My RIFF investments cover USA, Asia & Europe. Thank you.
Q: I'm not one for technical analysis... but it looks like Stantec has been range bound for years. Do you think this is the top of the range and will likely fall back or will it breakout? What usually causes breakouts to happen or do they just do eventually?
Q: I seem to have a ...bad... habit of selling my winners and keeping my losers, especially Cdn resource co's, waiting for them to turn around.
Forest Co's under perform, constantly under U.S tariff threat.
Gold Co's and base metals ...who knows where commodity prices will go ?
Oil and gas ...Regulatory and fed govt is a disaster compared to U.S investment climate.
Are Cdn resource Co's only for stock pickers and short term traders in todays economic climate ?

Q: I was looking at adding another US position to my portfolio. I hold VUN, BAC and FB already. The rest of my portfolio is well diversified so any sector is fine. I was looking for a stock or two that you think has very good upside over the next 5 years or more. I'd prefer one that doesn't pay dividends. I was thinking of ICHR
