Q: Thanks to your recommendations I have a nice profit on Itron. I have been looking at Energizer (ENR) and it seems to have good projected upside for the next year and also yields a modest 2.2% dividend. Do you think a switch from ITRI to to ENR would be a good move at this time? Why or why not? Thanks.

Q: To add to your response to John this morning regarding sources for latest company news, you can often get up-to-the-second information about a company by searching Twitter using the company's ticker symbol with a dollar sign in front of it, and clicking the "Latest" tab. A couple caveats: the signal-to-noise ratio can be extremely low, and it will return tweets about all companies using the same ticker from all exchanges. Searching with $DWS in this manner cites BNN as the reason for its big move in line with 5i's response, but also returns news spam from dubious financial websites and info about DWS Group, which shares the same ticker. Nonetheless this method can frequently provide quick satisfaction during those what-the-heck-is-going-on moments!
Q: Hello 5i team,
I want to add some funds to the energy and financial sectors and I currently hold both ENB and FSZ from the model portfolios. Both have had increasing dividends for the past 5 years but both have also gone down in the past year.
I was wondering if you have any idea why FSZ has declined and if it is still ok to add to both these holdings?
Thank You,
Andrew

Q: Greetings 5i,
Why is Ford so out of favour? 5.5% div and near 52 week and 5 year lows. With the current Trade concerns is it perhaps oversold? I certainly like the product.
Cheers!

Q: OSTK dipped 45.50 , then went up to 47. Should have sold but did not. Now it is at 35.50. I do not need tax loss. Should I dump it now or wait for it to come back? Do you have a sense of what is happening as it goes down even when US market is up last 2 days. Thanks. helen

Q: What is the best place to get the very latest news on Canadian companies? Free would be best but I would be willing to pay if it was a good service. I see moves in stocks I own and then often have to “Google” the company and find the relevant news. What does 5i use, Morningstar?
On this note, I see a move in DWS-X today with big volume, but could not find any news. Do you know what this is about?
Thanks
John

I am up $886 with ABBV. Time to sell given the problems or stick with it for about 10 year outlook for the dividend?
thanx

Does the drop of 2.56% have anything to do with any comments made by management during this session?
Thanks for your info.

Q: Any comments on Badger earnings? Numbers look good, big dividend increase, shares buy-back and the US tax changes are helping earnings already.

Q: I have a question about AVO.
I have owned AVO for a few years. As you are aware the company will be taken over by Motorola for $27/share.
It is trading at about $26.96 these days and I would like to know if I should wait for the the take over or sell it now. I don't need the money immediately so waiting is not a problem. Additionally, I don't know if I will receive an equivalent number of Motorola shares or will I be "cashed out" of my AVO shares. What normally happens in these situations?
