Q: hi,
1) do you know the current Canada GDP figures, taking out the housing market??
2) what is the long term PE average of the TSX from 1980 until now, and what is the average yield of the same, over the same time period?

Q: Thank you for your comments to the person with the Federal Government defined benefit pension. I am in the same position and I have always regarded my pension as my fixed income component and my investments are 100% equity. In terms of income, my fixed income component pension is over 50% of my income which exceeds the usually recommended 60-40 equity/fixed income split. Most public investment advice is geared to people with no pension, in my opinion.

Q: On the company website for FC, I see a note that "dividends are treated as interest income for income tax purposes under the Canadian Income Tax Act."
I own some shares in FC and I acquired them expecting that the dividends paid would be taxed as dividends (Oops! Now I know differently). How then is it that a dividend can be treated as anything other than a dividend and what is the reasoning for a firm paying a dividend that gets taxed as interest? Why not call it what it is...interest? Thanks.

Can you provide an opinion of the potential of this little company please? As a tiny, pre-revenue? company I expect they aren't even close to being on your radar but it's the concept and/or target industry niche that has me questioning whether there is potential and worthy of monitoring them for a while.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
GCL just reported a 3rd Q. miss and the stock has crashed 25%. Please give your assessment of this company...especially there financial strength...debt vs. cash on hand.
